The BEST of 2023! Plane Spotting HIGHLIGHTS at YYC, YEG, and MORE! (4K)

- 2023 was quite a year for the aviation industry, with lots of new developments, and of course, plenty of interesting planes to see.
Calgary International Airport was no exception, welcoming several new destinations, and a few unique visitors too. At the end of each year, I usually put together a little "best of" video highlighting those special visitors.
This year though, I thought I would open it up to all of the airports I'd been to in 2023, which in many cases, were just for these planes. My personal favourites are probably Air Greenland's A330 in Fort McMurray and NASA's DC-8 at Paine Field.
So, without further ado, please enjoy my highlights for plane spotting on this channel in 2023.

Nice to see my hometown (Fort McMurray) featured. It was such a joy to see all the Arctic Winter Games traffic and especially the Air Greenland A330 come into our town.

Glad tahat you liked our national carrier Air Greenland... Believe Air Tindi bought some of their old Dash 7´s back when Air Greenland transitioned into the Dash8´s

I actually saw one of those Kc-135’s. I was on a flair airlines max 8 from Ottawa, when we were taxiing a KC-135 was parked right beside gettingn refueled, which was pretty cool to see since it was quite bad weather out.
Neat stuff! Thank you! Interesting elevator action on the C-46 and the F-35s. And, of course, Buffalo's new toy. ❤

I flew from Calgary to Toronto in December, and as we landed I was hella surprised to see an Antonov An-124 off to the right of the runway. Then I realized it must be the one that got confiscated when Russia invaded Ukraine, and sure enough it was. Still totally blew my mind to see it though.

Im jealous, I live by toronto pearson and i never see these planes.
Thats a lot of flap on that DC-8 for takeoff holy crap they must be REALLY heavy, or the runway is short, but still, thats more than usual for airliners.
