J Devika - Dalit Resistance to Dominant Historiography in Kerala (DHRM)

J. Devika mentions how Dalit castes in Kerala counter dominant historical narratives which represent them as powerless and impotent. She points out the pivotal role DHRM played in bringing these alternate historiographies, based on the everyday life of Dalit castes, to light.

God bless you all here on this page. I wish to mention here that somehow Dalits are themselves responsible for their humiliation and persecution even brutally killing. They are greater in numbers than this Brahamin community, still they are slaves to them only because these Brahmins allow them to celebrate their festivals. Thousands of incidents have been taking place throughout India that they try to enter in their temples to be blessed but are brutally stoned by Pandits. If their gods have authority to bless then why don,t they fill Pandits ( Brahamins ) with pity and harmony instead barbarity. Today, I request all Sudras to join only that spiritual group which does not discriminate at all and is not brutal where God is kind and fills the people with peace, harmony, love, mercy and blessings. Surely that religion can lead the people to Eternal Life to heaven. You have freedom to choose right or wrong. Read News Paper daily to be updated and know what happens to your brothers in other places bcz tomorrow it can happen to u. An article in Punjab Keseri of dated 29-05-2016 page 6 shows brutality over Dalits when they tried to enter in a temple. Manuwad in other religions was also sowed by our Pandits brothers . Therefore observe and choose proper spiritual realm and be saved and secured Thanks.
