In 1996, I was in Miami for Spring Training (Expos/Braves - bumped into Fonda/Turner near their box) and made it to a Panther-Pens game with some local lady friends of mine. They were big fans and we waited outside after the game when Radek Dvorak came out and hung with us for awhile. Fun times.

toronto is overrated and florida is heavily underrated, people are legit blind. Florida had a bad early season, true, but last season they were rediculous, and they still have that lineup. If that lineup decides to turn up, wich it seem to have been. Idk who else besides maybe carolina with a strong defense or the oilers in a all out offense, vs offense could beat that team if they started playing how they did last season. Florida had the best record last year right? and they just happend to beat this years best record team in a best of 7.. There not a weak team, and that series wasnt a fluke they are 100% capable. People betting on them must have made bank.

Didn't the 2012 Kings win the cup as an 8 seed? Also, Edmonton (2006) and Nashville (2017) both made it to the finals as 8 seeds as well.

All that has happened is they have figured it out now, when it matters the most. This is the deadliest #8 seed in the history of the NHL. They were built to advance in the playoffs, not for the regular season.
