I am using the soft transform tool with fixed boundary checked to make the spacer, and sculpt/add tool to add extra space around any irregularities to reduce the chances of internal binding on the preparation. After creating the spacer, I recommend using the analysis/Clearance tool set at 0.1 - 0.2 mm to verify that you have 100-200 microns of spacer.
