I love how maria is using the slice.. but she needs to use topspin backhand more in my opinion

Agree, she has to improve it and also doing it as her weapons to her opponents. Great tennis players should have variety of groundstrokes, volley, topspin, dropshot, forehand, big serve etc.

Wow!!! What a boring and slow game!!! Barty was using slices but she was fun to watch. Plus, she was really good.

Very hard to win when all your strokes are under spin. 😊😊

It's painful to watch Maria play. That backhand slice used to work in '80s when racquets and strings produced slower shots.
