the deep hole with the nail you should always metal detect even if you find metal/junk if a big nail/screw goes into a carves also gold the amount of videos ive seen of gold detects finding gold with metal is a good amount in the same hole.

You guys are having way too much fun!! Great info on what to look for. I found my first gold with a detector just recently in tailings the old timers tossed up on the bank. My second target weighed 6.3 grams and I ended the day with about twenty pieces weighing over 15 grams.

Great show guys awsome content as always, maybe too generous with givin that big nug away as i know myself how hard and the amount of time and effort that goes into detectin to find nice pieces or even gold in it self but good on ya glen ya got a good heart mate👍

@@victoriangoldhunters my biggest is 5.7 grams hard work so much trash people come but do not last long, i call it my aback yard for an after work swing daily 4 years now lol need patience for sure. old Chinese diggings out of new Bendigo i say the more the better to help clean out the crap but is a quartz area you might find interesting

G'day mate I just found your videos I go to Dunolly Victoria a fair bit we have relatives there and all my gear is there I have been looking at the heaps of dirt around the shafts and next we will run some through the sluice and see what comes up last time we were out we got a couple of grams but after watching this video we are going to change and try to run a bit of that stuff through thank you for your video maybe 1 day we might meet up.

well done guys…. I was guessing 3.5 g😁…. found myself a 7.3g beauty this week after a heap of rocks revealed a little nugget which led me to thoroughly detect the gully from where the rocks came, only to reveal a very faint inverted signal which turned into one of the best looking nuggets I ever found after 20 mins of digging into wet clay. Looks like the old timers left it there for me on the bedrock in undisturbed ground☺️🙏
