    You could try putting the chips in foil, prick the foil with a fork and then put the foil packet on the metal grid. That's basically how my hot smoker works.

    Have a couple of tips,wait till the briquettes are white all over and try the soaked chips in the moat with a cup of water.

    I've been watching the Cobb reviews and have decided to buy one; looking at the kitchen in a bag/box, but have read a few reviews which say that the teflon comes off he griddle. Anyone have any experience with this?
