Adam has been so wonderful as her Dad for so long & I couldn't help but ALMOST be more EXCITED for him than Mckayla!!!! I've wondered if the change in Adam & Kim's rel'ship also cemented it in her brain, subconsciously. When both Adam & Kim were making it clear that this wasn't a one time thing, but finally were together, together!!!!!!

1:07-1:12 The ending of that episode was kind of hard to watch especially after the argument Adam and Kim had earlier to where Adam Ruzek was too emotional and not thinking correctly on the case to find Makayla which caused Adam to break his arm. Also when Kim said to Adam "She's my daughter and we're doing the drop" which was sad and devastating
Yea, I agree. I felt so torn for both of them. Cuz I understood when even b4, when Voight told Kim to get Adam under control. She at that point was bearly hang on herself. And Kim kept telling Adam to hold on, to hold on, b/c she needed it!!!! It was heartbreaking 2c the look on Adam's face when she said that, BUT equally I understood why. And in the next ep, Adam told her, he knew he had disappointed her when Mckayla was kidnapped. It's SO hard, b/c it REALLY is b/c Adam has such a big heart!!!!! Even one season, when Atwater was kidnapped, they track him & find his badge & whatever else. And they know 4 sure he's been kidnapped b/c one of them said that's what they're taught if abducted. That if they're discovered as being cops surely it would be a death sentence. Voigt tells them they have to keep Atwaters' abduction a secret just amongst them cuz he would be dead if it was found out. Kim at 1st at one pt, is struggling but Adam is being strong. But the drop goes bad & Antonio ends up having to shoot the guy & he dies b4 he's able 2 tell them where Atwater is. Adam suddenly starts to cry & somewhat attacks Antonio & Kim gets him under control. BUT with Mckayla's abduction, I was so glad that at the very end, it was the 2 of them, together who found Mckayla & the guy who was guarding her drugged in that freezing cold car. And was the 1st time, when Kim was desperately trying to wake her up, as soon as Makayla did, that was the 1st time, she called Kim, "Mom."

Adam is definitely Makaylas dad. Adam and Kim just need to get married. They are older now, and they get what it takes to be a family and to raise a child. And who better than to raise a child than two cops? She will be protected at all times. But I’m all for a Adam-Kim wedding. I don’t think EITHER of them were ready the first time. But I definitely think they are ready now. 10, 11 years it’s time they tie the knot.
Well...I think Kim 1st was hurt though she was the who technically broke it up w/ & said, while giving back to him her engagement ring, "I'm letting u off the hook." It's when Kim learnt that he'd been engaged 2x b4, & Roman gave Kim some kind of test to help her see if Ruzek was really ready. Adam as Kim said, you never did intend to come & meet it was either her parents or her mom. Adam knew he screwed up. BUT I hated when a # of fans kept throwing shade onto Kim's character. I recall one spoiler that didn't help. BUT no other character has experienced more trauma & shootings than Kim's character. I hated when she was judged. But the last therapy session unlocked what I think was an accumulation of ALL the traumas she's been thru. When Kim said to Adam & the therapist that deep down she's always felt the same for Adam as Adam did for her. BUT wasn't comfortable to say it, til they were home. I can't recall who spoke 1st, but suddenly Adam said the words that Kim couldn't finish in therapy. And said, "Too what?!?!" That's when Kim finally said, she'd become "Too scared & too numb." BUT.. I also said, I didn't think Jay & Hailey were ready for marriage, but married more out of reaction to what Hailey went thru with Voigt & Roy. I hoping we hear that Tariq has been killed in prison. Cuz it was the only reason why Tariq's girlfriend ultimately had Mikayla kidnapped was he needed money 4 protection from ppl who wanted to kill him inside & suddenly Tariq's wealthy brother who tried to gain custody over Kim learns that Mckayla wasn't kidnapped due to her work as a Police Officer with the Intelligence Unit BUT was kidnapped b/c his brother Tariq learned he had moved back here. Cuz then Adam could also legally adopt Mckayla.
Adam is clearly Makayla's dad, and Makayla loves Adam as her dad just as Adam loves Makayla as his daughter. End of story
