- Our most speccy & longest ride yet!! Get ready for the ultimate MTB adventure! In this week's episode we're tackling a whopping 43 km of Tasmania's finest trails - it's epic! Our mate Scott, Chris's stunt double, hooks us up with a lift to the trailhead, and from there, it's all about the ride! This trail is seriously something else - weaving through lush forests, getting down and dirty with some mud (Chris is loving it, while I'm trying to keep my distance from the slippery stuff!). As we ride on, we see jaw-dropping views of the rainforest, towering ferns, and if you're quick enough, glimpses of some seriously scenic vistas. This part of Tasmania is not seen by many and really should be! We ride past/on/around some massive granite boulders along the way, that lead us up to the summit of Mt Pearson Reserve. From up here we see sweeping views of the Bay of Fires, before diving into an exhilarating descent down to Swimcart Beach (listen out for Chris's woohoos and whoops along the way), where our caravan is parked up and the white sand and crystal clear waters of one of Tasmania's most popular camps is waiting. And just a heads up - after a 23 km ride at Blue Derby last week, my butt was still feeling it when I swung my leg over the saddle at the start of this ride! Yep, I spent the whole journey shuffling around on my seat - talk about a sore butt adventure! 😆 Tasmania really is the mecca of mountain bike riding in Australia - and we also think it's the free camping capital!!
We are Miriam & Chris, travelling Australia full time in our Titanium caravan and Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD since 2020. Welcome to our adventures!

This one is inspiring me to head over to Tassie with the family for the mountain bike tracks before I am too old and worried that I would injure myself!!! Lol
