I love the little cute space you’ve designed. Many people feel like they have to have 20K-50K$ for a van conversion- and while those conversions are also beautiful- it’s not a must. Thanks for showing us that simple is also possible. And it looks amazing, friends!!

Stealth camper with a flashy racing team livery. Ok. 😉 Good thing you installed the slam locks.
Suggest some long bungee cords to secure the under bed storage and do a fully loaded local shakedown cruise to test the suspension and brakes. Be easy to add extra support for the flip down table. Many ways to do this. The most elegant would be a slide out arm from the cabinet below or a leg that rotates up from the bed frame. Nice job. Cheers.

That pop up on the roof and awning and altogether finished interior beautiful and seems so luxurious, and your impeccable quality craftsmanship and design. Wow! Gorgeous! Love that it’s all removable. Q’s: (1$ where can we find the fabulous waterproof wall covering, and (2) the door locks. You will never be out of work if you decide to build these for others.

Idea: maybe you can make a chaise longue / chair with back rest by using one or both ottomans and one mattress half and some velcro🤔 and maybe bending the mattress..so you can both lounge and relax with the bed still retracted.
Tastefully done and clever utilization of space. Importantly it is your attitude - "making the most of what you have".

I jokingly told my husband his next work vehicle for construction should be a van instead of a truck so we can put a modular/removable camping system in it. I did a search and you were the first to show up. Love how you did yours!
It will be interesting to how you end up using the space you have, how often you use the roof top tent versus sleeping inside, where you decide to cook, etc. Looking forward to learning more about Italy through your travels.

A good way to secure your awning poles when windy is to attach them to water jugs. You both are amazing and I have enjoyed your CZcams’s immensely.
LEAW, I suggest cargo netting for the shelves behind cushion. Screws with washers glued to end and a cargo net with loops would be easy access plus you could see what your looking for. Looks great.

Bravo Sara and Luca! You've done a fantastic job. I love your attention to detail and determination to succeed within very tight constraints. And I'm really looking forward to your Italian trip. I know your beautiful country well having travelled the length and breadth, Sicily and Sardinia included. But there are many areas I haven't been like Puglia. To be honest I'm a little sceptical still about how well you're going to cope in such a small space, especially with the cooking, but you're so positive-minded and work so well together I'm sure you'll prove me wrong :) You're certainly one of the best things on the internet - everybody should watch LEAW for inspiration!

We will start traveling and using the van on the road in order to understand which solution will fit the best to us!

Functionality was a key component of your van conversion which you fulfilled with fly colors. Now a final touch, a little soft music, streaming from maybe a wireless surround sound bluetooth speaker system, as a precursor for relaxation and romance.

You should cut a portable leg for the table, just in case. In the middle, it won't even bother you. The pillows won't really help with supporting heavy stuff and you might ruin the pneumatic holders (whatever they are called) if you forget about it once and lean on the table or stumble. Hope you won't regret not getting a 2-flame stove. Even the most simple pasta and sauce will require 2 steps now ;-)

I was thinking a support bracket is needed as well. I've seen some that are flush with the part that folds down, you just need to pull "L" table leg out and it's done! OR, slides that pull out horizontal from cabinet beneath would work as well.

Ciao from Washington state. Oh my goodness! I'm so very impressed on how the minivan turned out! You 2 are amazingly talented (knew that already but this really proves it). The waterproof wallpaper is gorgeous! Suspect most of cooking will be done outside under awning & that you'll be bringing folding table/chairs that can fit in cab at night if you need. Please don't use that burner if all doors are closed!!! Even ceiling fan not sufficient when using burner in enclosed spaces. Soooo happy for you Sara & Luca!
