I've seen Dimash live twice (his concerts are almost 3 hours long), it's, of course, amazing. One of the moments when he has most fun is when he plays with the percussionist on this video, Ilya Prokovsky. Dimash plays multiple instruments, mostly piano, dombra (a Kazakh instrument) and drums.
Yes, I swear I've never had more fun watching a percussionist than I do watching Ilya! This is a man who loves what he does and it shows! It's also worth noting that Dimash takes the time out of his concerts to thank and highlight all of his musicians, backup singers, and crew/production staff, even giving his musicians and singers and opportunity for a moment in the spotlight. Dimash is from Kasachstan and speak fluent russian and kasach. He is still learning english and a bit chinese mandarin. The other languages he sing in is only phonetic, but he is very good at it I think.

Also, Stranger by Dimash which is actually in English is mesmerizing. You will see a native instrument called a Qobyz at the first. Two strings only making the most incredible music. You will be transported into a fantasy and the Qobyz may become one of your favorite instruments.
Dimash is from Kazakhstan. His parents are both singers, his mum a Soprano, and they are famous in Kazakhstan. He started music school at age 5 where the teacher identified that he had absolute pitch! He continued through music schools, colleges & has 2 Degrees, with honours, in music & composition. He also has been studying for his Doctorate in music, though I'm not sure if he has completed that yet. I think he may have done. He grew up surrounded by music & at age 2 or 3 drew a picture, not of a car or fire engine, as you might think, but a studio complete with speakers, mixing desk, mics & even a dombra, a Kazakh instrument that he plays. At that age, he says he put his wishes out into the universe as all he's ever wanted was to sing to international audiences, and he certainly has realised that dream. Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He is a 30 year old multi-faceted artist with a soul of a thousand years, who hails from Kazakhstan. He sings in 16 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 7 octave range, has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble and kind man. His mother is a classically trained singer and his father is a singer and producer. He sings almost every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "Stranger" 2021 ,"Olimpico" 2019 link on Igor Krutoy's (composer that came out of retirement to work with Dimash) CZcams channel, "Adagio" from The Singer 2017, "Ikanaide" 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival, and "Ave Maria" 2021 at New Wave. The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. Moreover, in the final part he added, with an oriental technique (from the Kazakhstan region). I've seen Dimash live twice (his concerts are almost 3 hours long), it's, of course, amazing. One of the moments when he has most fun is when he plays with the percussionist on this video, Ilya Prokovsky. Dimash plays multiple instruments, mostly piano, dombra (a Kazakh instrument) and drums.
Yes, I swear I've never had more fun watching a percussionist than I do watching Ilya! This is a man who loves what he does and it shows! It's also worth noting that Dimash takes the time out of his concerts to thank and highlight all of his musicians, backup singers, and crew/production staff, even giving his musicians and singers and opportunity for a moment in the spotlight. It's really great to see how much they all love working together.❤

Also, Stranger by Dimash which is actually in English is mesmerizing. You will see a native instrument called a Qobyz at the first. Two strings only making the most incredible music. You will be transported into a fantasy and the Qobyz may become one of your favorite instruments.
Dimash is from Kazakhstan. His parents are both singers, his mum a Soprano, and they are famous in Kazakhstan. He started music school at age 5 where the teacher identified that he had absolute pitch! He continued through music schools, colleges & has 2 Degrees, with honours, in music & composition. He also has been studying for his Doctorate in music, though I'm not sure if he has completed that yet. I think he may have done. He grew up surrounded by music & at age 2 or 3 drew a picture, not of a car or fire engine, as you might think, but a studio complete with speakers, mixing desk, mics & even a dombra, a Kazakh instrument that he plays. At that age, he says he put his wishes out into the universe as all he's ever wanted was to sing to international audiences, and he certainly has realised that dream. Übrigens...., der Herr mit dem weißen Hemd, der zum Schluss als erstes aufsteht, ist Igor Krutoy - ein unfassbar genialer Komponist. I have seen him live in Prague and on May 24 of this year in Istanbul, that day is his birthday... spectacular. and in September on the 13th-14th I will be in Astana, capital of Kazakhstan to see their two consecutive concerts 🤞, I am excited. just to tell you that you have already entered the Dimash world, from which you will not be able to leave 😜😘🇪🇦🇪🇦

Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He is a 30 year old multi-faceted artist with a soul of a thousand years, who hails from Kazakhstan. He sings in 16 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 7 octave range, has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble and kind man. His mother is a classically trained singer and his father is a singer and producer. He sings almost every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "Stranger" 2021 ,"Olimpico" 2019 link on Igor Krutoy's (composer that came out of retirement to work with Dimash) CZcams channel, "Adagio" from The Singer 2017, "Ikanaide" 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival, and "Ave Maria" 2021 at New Wave. After digesting those performances, I can't stress enough my recommendation for one of his most recent songs and music video (mini movie) the artistic masterpiece "The Story of One Sky" that he wrote the screenplay for and spent 3 years composing the music for, which displays a lot of his range (not all) and soooo many vocal techniques and dynamics, including sub harmonics, whistle register, bass, tenor, baritone, classical, jazz, pop, rock and unreal metal screams....and unbelievable dramatic acting. Each performance will leave you stunned. Thank you for reacting to our Dimash from a loyal "Dear" (fandom name given to us by Dimash, because we are dear to him like his family). He has fan clubs in 132 countries.

The middle Eastern type of singing where he uses a goats trill is a homage to the late front singer of the band. I never had an appreciation for opera style singing until I heard Dimash who touched my soul with his talent and singing in so many styles, including opera, lol! I even love Olympico which is opera.
