I was walking beside an elderly silver haired woman pushing a shopping cart with an ol' skool boom box in it and she was listening to "My Way" by Frank Sinatra. That ended and a dance song called "I'm Horny" (Mousse T) came on right after and she didn't flinch. The combination of elements was hysterical, but, the song was genuinely good and all over Paris radio. I got back to the US, and NOTHING. But with Eartha, she was an American legend, and pop radio programmers just ignored her. That was just wrong. Anyway, this did go to the top of the dance charts in the US and spawned quite a rebirth for Eartha. 😊
