The Henderson twins were the real life inspiration behind Warpath's latest cinematic trailer. They were both in the national guard when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. Transferred to a tank destroyer battalion they saw action in North Africa and then on to Italy. It's not the same story as in the trailer. In fact it's very different but its a great story of real brothers in arms.

I would love to see a story about Siebren Erik Hazelhoff Roelzema. He has written a book about his experiences during ww2 called soldaat van oranje in dutch. At the start of ww2 he fled to England. From there he smugled radio equipment to the Dutch resistance. Later in the war he became a pilot flying mosquitos for the raf.
We went from 2D, comic-esque animation to full-on, amazingly rendered 3D cinematics. Thank you Yarnhub for all of your videos and Happy New Year!

Creeps me out. It’s still the janky TF2 animations but the facial details keep getting more realistic. It’s unsettling.
@@SPFLDAngler Not only that, the vegetation, the explosions are getting more realistic looking, not perfect, but I think they will figure out how to make that more realistic. They will probably iro out all the 'imperfections' soon enough. They're just working on quality using talent and attention to detail. They must be a crew that has OCD which is good stuff for us to enjoy! 😉

I dont get how youre entertained by such bullshit. The gameplay is just this boring move your units around and keep on getting resources kind. They even limit your resource collection. Like, why? What is the point of harvesting resource from enemies in the first place if youre limited to do it?

Just a point of contention, the paratrooper brother in the trailer is from 82nd Airborne, the All American patch is quite telling. The 101st Airborne had the Screaming Eagle patch.

Was anyone else thinking WTH is US paratrooper doing with Bren instead of BAR when watching that Centenary movie? (0:56 in this video)
@@eduardklima5698 It looks more like a Czech ZB vz.26 to me, which was issued to rear-line German troops after the annexation of Czechoslovakia (the Bren was based on it so definitely an easy mistake to make). Suppose he could've taken it off a dead German maybe.

One small thing to note is that yes brothers could have served during D-Day simultaneously but they would have been forced into two different units. Here’s an example there were four brothers with the last name Niland while three of them were fighting in Europe. One was apart of the 82nd Airborne, another the 101st Airborne and the final one was with the Fourth Infantry Division. The one serving in the 101st was evacuated and shipped home.

Great video! Speaking of the Italian Campaign and Italians, as an Italian myself I was a fan of your video on the Souda Bay Raid of the X° MAS.
Because of this, I want to ask if you will ever do more videos about some Italian heroic actions: maybe about Rosario Randazzo (who, when a mortar shell killed his MG crewmates, and shrapnel tore off his arm, he operated the MG alone using only his remaining arm and his teeth to operate it); or about the Charge of the Savoia Cavalleria at Izbushensky when an outnumbered Italian cavalry unit charged and routed an entrenched soviet unit; or about the last stand of the Folgore Division and the remnants of other Italian units at El Alamein when, outnumbered and outmatched, they repelled wave after wave of British and Free French assaults; and, finally, maybe about Junio Valerio Borghese of the X° MAS and his Raid on Alexandria in 1941, when he and his frogmen almost sunken the HMS Valiant and HMS Queen Elizabeth (warning, Borghese almost staged a fascist coup against Italy during the Cold War).
Sorry for bothering you, but I love your videos and I want some more spotlight on the Italians, even if I understand that our defeat was necessary as we were on the side of Nazi Germany.

Every time I see the Wolverine brought up, I recall a PC game in which it was my absolute favourite vehicle - think it was Battlefield 1942: The Road to Rome, but it's such a long time ago, I can't be sure.
Never saw this warpath trailer but good to know the story that looks nearly as good as a multi million dollar ad campaign is on one of my favorite channels.

A story about the battle of moni Casino, My friend told me this (this is his familys story), his great grandad had been in a Sherman Firefly crew when a german panzer's shell hit the side of his sherman and killed the commander. His great grandad, being the driver took control and pushed on. But, unfortunatley, a panzer's armour peircing round hit the front of the tank, killing him and the co-driver instantly.
Another masterpiece, you guys never disappoint! Keep doing the episodes we all love.

The title shouldn't be "The True Story Behind Warpath’s Trailer" it should be "The True Story of Boyd and Ralph Henderson" because that's what is important and should be the focus.
Yarnhub both tells stories of heroism and legendary battles as well as telling it in magnificent animation with it getting more epic and more beautiful. Keep on Carrying it onwards!

The sad thing is that before the war he was a funny guy and would joke around but after the war he was serious and would have dreams about the horrible moments in the war.
