Valentino single handedly put motogp on the map and that's a fact. The sport would have never gained the popularity that it has today if it wasn't for his eccentric personality, intense rivalries and insane celebrations (apart from his pure speed of course). Someone someday (maybe marquez) could break his records, but the fact is people don't adore Vale for just his records, they adore him because he made it fun, he made it a show, he made it entertainment of the highest quality. It's not the same without him. He will be missed. Grazie Vale.

Even if we look beyond "that" incident, any MotoGP fan could se that there were some strange riding behavior in the last race of that season. We got this rider with a very aggressive riding style not making a move for the race win for several laps. Yeah that was very suspect.

A fantastic documentary for a fantastic man.
Rossi is amongst the very small group of true Elite, top of the tree, sport defining bike racers.
For me, personally, as a racer & entertaining character combined, he sits at the top.
But purely based on racing alone, I have to put Mike ' The Bike' Hailwood as the best of all time and no arguments about it.
The best road racer of all time has to be 'Yer Maun' Joey Dunlop.
He was a special human being, the likes I don't think we will ever see again.
When Joey was killed in 2000 the amount of people that travelled to Ballymoney for his funeral & those at the Isle of Man procession was breathtakingly unreal, and he deserved every single moment of it.
Giacomo Agostini 'Ago' was truly special and deserves his place in that debate of just who is the best ever.
    Rossi.....Rossi...... Rossi.....
Best of the modern era, no ifs no buts about it.
I think that is the best way to place him in this debate. I love the man. He is as special as any before him, but bike racing now is so very different to the decades before and impossible to compare truthfully.
I do miss him very much at the GP's.
Moto GP is not the same without him, but soooooo very much better off for having him.
    Ciao Vale et Gracié.

47 Minutes is not long enough to describe the history the GOAT Of MotoGP need to have A 4 part documentary I was born in 91 So I grew up watching Rossi The whole way threw his career when MotoGP was on the BBC in late 90s through the dark times he had when he went from Honda to .Yamaha and lost the title at Valencia and all the epic battles with Casey Stoner gibernau Marco Melandri Lorenzo Biaggi capirossi we will never forget the race at Laguna of the greatest ever races full of drama all the way round and a small Ride through the gravel trap at the corkscrew

Valentino Rossi was and still is one of my biggest heroes he was so exciting to watch it wasn’t just the winning that made Rossi so great it was the fact that he raced for so many years against so many other great riders like Capirossi, Biaggi, Bayliss, Hayden, Stoner, Lorenzo, Pedrosa and Marquez and by doing all of that he single handedly saved motorcycle racing
Before this legend arrived on the scene Grand Prix motorcycle racing was in a dark place with its governing body and there wasn’t as much public interest either even tho there was quite a few famous names to look out for such as Hailwood, Agostini, Nieto, Surtees, Duke, Ubbali, Read, Ivy, Sheene, Roberts, Spencer, Lawson, Gardner, Schwantz, Doohan and Rainey and the racing between all these gladiators was epic
But the sport itself was in a dark place but when Valentino Rossi arrived he alone made motorcycle racing just as popular if not sometimes more popular than formula 1
Rossi is the undisputed GOAT and gladiator of motorcycle racing and i believe is 2nd in the all time list of greatest of all time racers behind my all time hero the great Michael Schumacher
I feel so privileged to have seen Valentino Rossi at Silverstone last year it was so special to see the Doctor in person and when he waved at me it was magical
Grazie Vale congratulations on becoming a soon to be father and your magnificent career on 2 wheels
I can’t wait for your 4 wheel career to begin
