"It is God who creates you weak, then gives you strength, then weakness after strength, together with your grey hair: He creates what He will; He is the All Knowing, the All Powerful."
- Qur'an 30:54
Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad reminds us that honouring the elderly is part of honouring God, something that early Muslim leaders were acutely aware of. This is in sharp contrast to today's epidemic of loneliness that society tries to mask with televisions and pensions.

What a wonderful Jumma Khutba in view of current issues relating to the care and well being of the older generation. It is a privilege to listen to Dr Shaykh Murad’s (considered by many as the Al Gazali of our time) superb lecture, full of examples of service to the old and helpless by the true rulers, especially by great leaders like Caliph Omar. At 9:30 of the video I couldn’t hold my tears. May Allah grant the Shaykh a very long and purposeful life to serve the ummah, Ameen.

آمین ثم آمین یارب العالمین

Yes. Just great. Greetings from the Caribbean. Shaikh Murad is my beloved brother who I discovered recently virtually of course. Will like to know where I can find his booka
Allahumma Ameen!
As a seventy three year old women listening to my brother in Faith ,talking about the state of affairs regarding the elderly around the world it was difficult to hold back the tears…A Hadees comes to mind “o Allah give me life when I can look after myself and useful to others ….
Salam ummi may Allah bless you and make it easy on you
Barak Allah feek, barak Allah fe omrek (years an individual gets to live ‘O’mer.)
Kind of Khutba we Muslims in India desperately need.
May Allah shower His mercy on you.
My ears were yearning for the Shaykh’s voice. Alhumdullilah for such a beautiful khutba
Indeed, Glimpse of Ghazzalian Personality we have As Shaykh Abdal Hakim. MashaAllah

This Shayk is a bastion of wisdom and speech. May Allah grant him health.
Please remember that it is not only the elderly who can be left overlooked and lonely. The disabled, the divorced, the economically disadvantaged. As Muslims there is a lot of social pressure to pretend that things are better than they are, to smile and not complain. This puts the owness on others to open their eyes and ears, to ponder ' how would I feel if..' Please, use your imagination and look for isolation in every crowd,it will be there behind the brightest of smiles.
It is indeed a great ‘rezeki’ to be able to listen to Syakh Abdal Hakim Murad delivering Jumaat Khutbah
Shaykh hakim Murad at his best !
Nice mosque and a very lovely and special Imam.
May Allah give you long and healthy life so that we can keep learning from you. Allahuma Amin.
Masha’Allah ❤️

Great words of wisdom by Sheikh, May Allah SWT bless him with Best of His blessings, Aameen sum Aameen
Aameen! Aameen! Aameen! 🤲🏽❤🤲🏽
Such a beautiful Khutba. Thank you respected Sheikh Abdal Hakim for your luminous wisdom.
A beautiful voice in a world that needs it.
In Islam we have our heroes like Umar bin Al Khattab, an emperor who ruled Arabia, Egypt, Persia and part of Byzantine , who used to go to an elderly widow woman and clean her house and feed her children. When and where in the history you'd find someone like our heroes?!
Jazakum Allah 🤲 Words not to forget. Very important for the individual, the umma, the world. How beautiful our religion is ☝️
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
May Allah almighty bless you and give long life for serving the community. جزاكم الله خير الجزاء ويطول عمركم لخدمة دين الله سبحانه وتعالي
Do not be Harsh
Selfish
Greedy
Miserly
Fake
Arrogant
Or Satan will deceive you
Be
Gentle
Compassionate
Emphathic
Generous
Sincere
Humble
For Allah will love you
And by the will of Allah
The Angels will love you
The People will love you
And the Universe
Will begin to fall
In love
With you
💜
SubhanAllah, very, very, very true! Beautiful reminder indeed! Allahumma Baarik laha!
I looked at the people
With a critical eye
And found fault in everyone
I looked at myself
With a critical eye
And found goodness in everyone
I gazed longingly
At blessings the people possessed
And became unhappy
I began to gaze at the blessings I possessed
And became forever grateful
I waited for people to greet me
And became haughty
I greeted the people first
And became humble
I expected people to forgive me
And became arrogant
I began to forgive people
And became compassionate
I thought others blameworthy
And my ego inflated
I believed myself blameworthy
And my conscious responded
I watched those who strived for the world
And became complacent
I watched those who sacrificed for deen
And became productive
I looked towards the worldly folk to emulate
And lost myself
I looked towards the Godfearing people
And found myself
I looked for a middle road in life
And found it in Islam
I searched for the ideal Human being
And found my beloved Rasoollullah ﷺ
I searched everywhere for Peace
And found it
In the Remembrance of Allah
Who wrote this poem
Thank you so much Shaikh Hakim Murad. Allah bless you.thank you, to the team for uploading this
You so right dear شيخ I wish we live in the better world
Long life with health to the Shaykh🤲
"This ikhram (Honouring) of the elderly Muslim is part of honouring God" at 6:55.
A timely reminder delivered with great wisdom. This khutbah certainly made me think and reflect on a lot of things. Jazakallah
Subhan'allah, my eyes were tearing up listening to another of SAHM's impeccable talks.
In the breaking of dawn
The passing of the night
The rising of the Sun
And the hymming of sparrows
I saw you Allah
In the drops of rain
The sprouting of seeds
The blooming of the rose
And the scents of Spring
I saw you Allah
In the union of marriage
The signs of conception
The endurance of a mother
And the birth of a child
I saw you Allah
In the play of the toddler
The passions of youth
The dedication of a father
And the shield of morality
I saw you Allah
In the trials of life
The soreness of the heart
The weakness of limbs
And the consolement from prayer
I saw you Allah
In the leaving of the day
The glory of the moon
In the final breath
And the tears of the family
I saw you Allah
In the calling of the cockeral
The lamenting of the dogs
The harkening of the blackbird
And the silence of the wind
I saw you Allah
As I overheard the compelling warning
"O mankind hasten towards good
Lest death soon overtakes you"
Mashallah. Would the Shaykh five a lecture some time, about the secularisation of Turkey, the destruction of its language and every thing that happened there.
Very apt in the times we living in SubhanAllah- if we only truly understand our responsibilities according to Sunnah and Islam this world will be a better place. Brought tears to me eyes … 🤲🏼🍀🌹♥️😢

Thank you for posting this, I really enjoyed the sermon. Alhamdulillah
O lone traveller
Exhausted
From your arduous journey
Do not despair
The grave
Is a blissful resting place
For those
Who continuously repent
And in anticipation
Of your arrival
Very soon

Beloved
When you go outside
Or look out of the window
Remember to gaze
At the heavens above you
So that you remember
How small you really are
And how great is your Lord
As it will keep you
Down to Earth
And help you
To remain humble
❤

Superb talk..we must all create a society of compassion, and give our elders in our family and society honour and respect for all their earlier sacrifices.
Nice 👍👍

Soyons présents sur les uns pour les autres🤲💛
The moon faded
When the sun rose
The sun set
When the moon shone
But the name of the Prophet
Muhammad ﷺ
Illuminates the horizons
Throughout the nights
And the days
And the Sunnah of our beloved ﷺ
Adorns the believers
Though times change
.
You post truly beautiful poems about the Faith. Jazakallah
Beloved
Contentment of the heart
Lies in the Remembrance
Of Allah(God)
And Serinity
Is attained
By giving and receiving
Both strongly addictive
Just receiving
Is harmful
Nourishing the ego
Causing disease of the Soul
Such as greed and avarice
And worse
But giving freely
Pleases Allah
And brings joy to the Soul
Mind your priorities
From Qur'an and Sunnah
Give prayers
Give love
Give time
Give praise
And give from your wealth
No matter how small
Greet with salaam
Be kind
Be sincere
And smile
Indeed the Upper hand is better than the lower hand
As long as, no harm is caused to the receiver
Barakallahu fiik, i feel that i need to pay for these
If you are searching
You will find Allah
Amongst the broken
The oppressed
The lonely
The sick
The poor
And the needy
Go on
Give a smile
Lend an ear
And share your wealth
For verily
The supplication
From the broken hearts
For you
Will surely be accepted
I feel in so much pease listening to this Cheikh I wish I can be where he is
Lovely sermon
I love the imam, may Allah bless him. his rhetoric is powerful
هذا الشيخ الجليل ترى نور الإيمان والحكمة تشع من وجهه الوقور..سبحان الله "يؤتي الحكمة من يشاء ومن يؤت الحكمة فقد أوتي خيراً كثيراً"
May Allah grant you more insight and wisdom!
So beautiful, so amazing. May Allah preserve you.
As Salaamu Alaikum a much needed khutbah. I pray that if enters my heart and jolts me into action, Ameen. Please make dua for me and my family, this brother and his family, and the ummah.
Beautiful Khutba. Alhamdulilah.

I am from indonesia, i love syaikh Murad coz Alloh, May Alloh protect you syaikh :)
Beloved if you are feeling helpless
Watching the Ummah suffering
Keep on striving
To become a good Muslim
A good human being
Whose Actions and Speech
Pleases Allah
And your conviction
To obey and please Allah
Will be a contribution on your part
Towards Humanity
Then when you make dua
It will be accepted
And your existence will become
A Mercy for the World
Insha-Allah
Why don’t you publish a small book with your poems, with beautiful nature illustrations. Share it with the world
That was a beautiful Khutba ❤👍
Also very important about the verse in holy Quran that God is ordering us not only to take care of our parents by He told us "When they get old with you" this means that when they get old they need to stay with you and you take care of them. God bless us all with this great religion and Al Hamd Lelah
Educative as usual, Shaykh!
Beloved
Do not ignore the Ummah in distress
Or look the other way
What we do is important
And we can do a lot
We can raise awareness
We can give in aid
WE CAN PRAY
We can still carry on with our lives
As well as having compassion and concern for others
We can make a difference
With the help of Allah
We need similar khutbas in the mosques all over that address the issues of the curse of postmordernism.

Great work

Thank you

Learn to appreciate
The Humble
Sincere
Genuine
Truthful
Kind
Fair
Loving
Down to earth people
In your lives
Thank Allah
For this great blessing
Of good human beings
And pray for them
For blessings increase on gratitude
But are sometimes taken away
When taken for granted
Unappreciated
Or Abused
Alhamdullillahi Rabbil Alameen 😍❤
salama
Beauty, wealth and eloquence
Are special gifts from Allah
Divine tools
Entrusted to some
That attract the human hearts
Whichever of these
You may possess
Do not waste it
In struggling tirelessly
In vain
Acquiring recognition
From the creation
Nor the temporary joys
Of a stationary abode
Use them wisely
Pleasing Allah
Building the permanent abode
Of the hereafter
In striving endlessly
Calling Humanity
Towards the Truth
Helping those in need
Preserving family ties
And smiling sincerely
Lifting a broken Soul
Masha Allah, this is a insightful lecture and very relevant to the challenges of our times.
great editing 🔥

As Salaamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatull Allaahi Wa Barakathuhu from Sydney,
Al Hamdu Lillaah 🤲🌏🕋
Allaah All-Mighty’s Final Messenger, our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (Sal Allaahu Alayhi Wa Sallam)!
May Allaah All-Mighty be pleased with the respected Family, respected Companions of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (Sal Allaahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) and the righteous ones, Allaahumma Aameen!
May Allaah All-Mighty forgive us and guide us all worldwide to righteousness until our last breath or the last day, Allaahumma Aameen!
May Allaah All-Mighty restore long term #UniversalJusticeandWorldPeace, Allaahumma Aameen!
Jazak Allaahu Khayran
Allaahumma Aameen to all the Duas!
O Ummah of broken hearts!
Keep calm!
For the scorching fire of Hell
Will not die out
Like the fires from the piercing bullets
The treacherous grenades
And the murderous bombs, of the cruel oppressors
And glad tidings for the Martyrs
Who are surely 'Alive'
Indeed the everlasting blaze of Hell
Awaits in anticipation
Those who oppress Humanity
And where Death is no more
There is no Escape
O Ummah of broken hearts!
Keep calm!
For the gardens of Eden
Where the rivers flow
And the gentle breeze, cause the trees to rustle
In the sweetest melody
Under the shade of the glorious Throne
Will abide forever
Those who are patient, grateful and compassionate
And love and help each other
For the sake of Allah
O Ummah of broken hearts!
Keep calm!
For there will be no pain, or loss or sorrow in Paradise
But peace and joy and everlasting love
And most precious of all
The pleasure of Ar-Rahman, our merciful Lord
O Allah!
Please have mercy on thy creation
Guide all mankind to the path to Paradise
And save Humanity from the path to Hell
For the sake of they most beloved Prophet ﷺ
Surely if the tyrants knew the Truth
They would not be oppressors
Indeed it's not the eyes that do not see
But the hearts that are blind
O Ummah of broken hearts
Keep calm!
Wow
SubhanAllah
سبحان الله وبحمده
An interesting and enjoyable sermon, masha Allah. A just and religious leader of today is PM Imran Khan of Pakistan. He is doing great work for poor and forgotten, especially children. His fight against corruption has woken up the people of Pakistan and much of the Muslim world.
😂😂
Beloved
Sincerely reflect
How much have we prayed
With compassion and conviction
For the government who rule
The Country we call home
And the people who share it?
Surely if we pray together
For Allah's guidance and blessings
Give a smile and salaam
Contribute to the needy
The desperate and homeless
You never know
How the tables can turn
And the West can change
From an environment
Of Godlessness and Vice
To that of Faith
Piety and Peace
O Turner of hearts
Ya Allah
Guide us all in England
And make us a source of guidance for the Ummah Worldwide
💛
Beloved
Your life is precious
A gift from your Lord
Enjoy it and do not waste it
Beloved
Don't let the pain
And the mistakes of the past
Or the anxiety of the future
Distract you
From appreciating
The blessings of the moment
Or hinder you
From caring for your loved ones
And doing good deeds
Serving Humanity
Beloved
Try your very best
To please Allah
Adapting the Sunnah
Of Rasoollullah ﷺ
Beloved
Be like those who would gladly
Arrange weeds, beautifully in a vase
And not like those who relentlessly
Throw fresh Roses away
For the colour or scent is not to taste
Beloved
Whatever the circumstances
Make the best of it
Be patient
Be grateful
Smile brilliant, and contagiously
Making everyone around you
And those far and near
Unknown to you
Smile
Beloved
Surely beauty and esteem
Lie in the eyes of the beholder
So strive
To become a beautiful, humble Soul
For when your Lord beholds you
💛
The secrets
Of the 'Ismul-Azam'
Are concealed
Within the whisper
Of the broken heart💔
Which readily attracts
Divine acceptance
Be careful...
Beloved
Your life
Is Your sacred journey
To Allah(God)
Everyone else
And everything else
Is a Trust from Allah
And the means for You
To reach Allah
Either you uphold the Trust
Through the guidance
Of Qur'an and Sunnah
And walk the straight path
Safely to Allah
Or You ignore the guidance
And You neglect or abuse the Trust
And You lose your way
From the path to Allah
Beloved
Your life
Is Your sacred journey
To Allah
It is about what You engage in
And how You behave with people
And how You react to others
And Not about what people do
And how they engage with You
Nor how they react to You
So keep one eye sternly
On Your own character and behaviour
Whilst continuously excusing others
Until the other eye, eventualy finds
The goodness in people
Beloved
Your life
Is Your sacred journey
To Allah
Do not waste it
