    Nice video! Feedback is extremely important, in order to learn effectively. And teaching others by giving others feedback is crucial too.

    Very practical and helpful points ben especially liked the teaching others point. Recently i completed a structural engineering course in ETABS and i recommend my brother to buy the same course instead like u said i think it would be better if i could teach him what i learnt. Also ur portfolio video has been so effective ill be preparing my portfolio too in the same way. Keep bringing such practical videos. Thank you

    Can you do a video explaining why you chose structural over civil or geotech? Another video about civil (hydraulics, roads,etc.) with maybe a colleague civil engineer of yours would be fun, just throwing some ideas out.

    Nice video! Do you think people who arent the best in math become a civil engineer?

    • @BEngHielscher
      @BEngHielscher  Před 9 měsíci

      Yes, you definitely don’t have to be the best at math to be a civil engineer. The math you do at university during an engineering degree is much harder then what you will need to be able to use as a working engineer. So as long as you can get through the math at uni you will be ok :)

    How do you prepare structural drawings?
    Do you draw them manually in AutoCAD or Revit?
    Or do you use another software?

      Typically structural drawings get created in either Autocad or in revit. Personally I don’t do this work it is the drafter that does this. If I ever have to draft my own small job I do it in an advanced pdf editor. The pdf editor that I typically use is called Bluebeam.

      @BEngHielscher Ok. I need to try Bluebeam 👍
