I just want to thank Amanda for being the only one of the judges who handled this in a professional manner. She just let the contestant do what they needed to. She didn’t act snarky. She didn’t try overshadowing them. Didn’t try ruining the ambience. She just did what was told.

The other judges wanted to break the mood on purpose, they are testing the candidate, because the central element of the performance is the acting, so they need to create a test of fire

His tricks are what the magic industry would call "basic" but that's not his talent here, its his acting and makeup. No matter if you know how he did the trick his whole presentation is what grabs you. What a great performer.

The other layer that people don’t realize is the acting. Not only is the act a magic act, there is also a theatrical element. The fact that ‘the witch’ is able to keep their composure even through the judges joke is a talent in itself.
The witch in the semi-final had poor voice projection and diction. It was difficult to understand him, even the judges were squinting their eyes when listening to him and he was just across the table. Was quite uncomfortable to watch for that reason alone...

I hate the judges so much for being so rude to the performance, this thing was a masterpiece, and the hability of this person to stay on character is huge acting skills, mantaining the spooky factor even when people is laughing
I agree with you 100%. The judges kill half of his performance, which is still good but would have been brilliant just like his 1st one was.
If he reaches the final he must find a way to deal with them, they are a huge problem: maybe avoid interaction with them is best at this point.

I agree. He's so good at maintaining his emotions even though things were not going exactly his way. People were making fun of him and at the same time they talked so much plus uncontrolled side comments. I don't think the final round will be favorable for him (the witch).

One of the best acts I have ever seen in the show. I cannot believe how unprofessional the judges behaved.
The problem with these types of shows is that the judges believe that they are the reason people watch.
Aside from those points you've made you could also look at it from another perspective. The judges are poking and prodding in order to test the level of performance and talent. The fact that this person kept character and remained composed with their jokes is a testament to their talent. The judges were testing that talent. If this show were to win and go to Vegas then the person doing this act would need to be prepared for any situation because they would be dealing with a completely new audience every time.

The acting here, the presence, the gaze, staying in character all throughout, HUGE talent! You can tell how much work and preparation has gone into this act. Really amazing performance.

Big respect for Amanda for not ruining the ambiance. The other 3 did ruin it. The magic itself is simple that even beginners can do it, but how the magic was presented is on another level. For me the magic isn't the main focus, but the acting and presentation is, which is why when the other 3 ruined the ambiance it kills the magic.

The acting and stage presence of this performer is exceptional! Although the judge's jokes were disrespectful, I think we do have a tendency as humans to disguise our fear with humour, to almost lighten the mood.

Really amazing!! The character created, the way the actor acted, all the environment and sound, mande everything so realist and fantastic. It looked like a movie, more than that... It looked like a real witch. I watched it countless times just to see the guy performance.
I swear this guy should be an actor. Idk how he was able to stay in character whilst the judges (except Amanda) were being rude. Props to him for doing something amazing whilst staying in character the whole time 🙌
What a breathtaking performance the execution, the composure, the dialogue, the phenomenal acting and the way he handles the judges is perfect.

Unpopular opinion: I feel that giving the judges and opportunity to joke and laugh was the fault of the performer, not controlling the state of the act well enough. Personally felt a bit draggy… it’ll be a lot cooler if all the judges fears came, not just the rat.

I was in the Audience, David laughed at one point (but I'm gonna be honest I laughed before he did cause of the way the witch was speaking ab fear) right which caused a chain of laughter, which you can see in the video so idk why I just relayed it to you haha. So in conclusion; it could have been more creepy if it wasn't for the continuous jokes made . The act was really good, I couldn't see it very well though cause I was sitting at the very top.

I love this. The effort he put into this. THIS, is TALENT. This is a show you could take ANYONE to and they'd love. The devotion to his character. Never cracking ONCE. The consistent movements. He's become this character. 100%. It's not that often that actors can play these out there insane characters and stay in it 100% all the way the whole time.
This act would be one of the most professional audition in the show , if the judges could react like an adult.

I understand humour is used as a coping mechanism, but if that person is a judge on a talent show and they resort to that coping mechanism, they need to understand that by doing so, it's taking away from the act, and that is utter disrespect.

This is such a great act. It truly resembles horror & gives actual experience on what fear is. His mask & composure is perfect. He mixes evil, with little bit of humility (like a witch friend) or psychic but with a darker touch. This performance is very exhilarating & exciting all at once. Giving chills, goosebumps, & terror. It’s very entertaining. Sort of like a haunted house but on stage. I’d love to attend a real performance

I love everything that has to do with horror. Sometimes I do think the judges are in on it bc some things are just impossible for humans to do. But they are always so entertaining. I love this

The biggest mistake the judges have ever done is When they made fun with the witch who was still performing because they thought that it will be a negative approach to the audience but the opposite happened. It shows the performer's professionalism and talent that captivates the audience and viewers even MORE!!!
