2:49 Everyone can play minecraft beta, and its easy, just open the launcher, go into settings, and there should be an option for "letting show older version of the launcher". And easily as a that (whitout a client) everyone can play Minecraft beta and alpha too. If he was mentioning, like the original, Original minecraft 1.7.3, i think in fact, is needed really a client or something like that, but I played always this way minecraft 1.7.3. (played with the launcher of minecraft)

you should be able to access beta and alpha from the normal launcher, there is a setting to enable these versions
