- It's potato planting time in the Netherlands. A Fendt 724 ONE Gen 6 is working together with a Baselier All in One cultivator-potato planter: baselier.com/e.... This machine consists of a rotary bedtiller combined with a potato planter and ridging hood to form the final ridges all in 1 pass. In the front is a VSS Agro leveller and press wheels.
The combination is owned by Dutch arable farm and contractor Landbouwbedrijf De Wit Dirksland. The variety Alegria is planted for arable farm A.P.C. van Peperstraten.

nice catch ... can anyone tell me what's the meaning of those 5 "red shovels" between the rows at the end of the planter? Is this to minimize water erosion between the rows?
Yes, exactly that they create little heaps of soil which should prevent run-off in to low spots.
