I love these videos. A good video doesn’t always have to have success, when Arron is talking about hunting white tails or turkeys you can always take something from it and learn. 👍🏻

Absolutly agree on both learning and not every trip being successful or it wouldn't be called hunting it would be called killing. I love these videos and will be doing my first out of state public land hunt this fall for deer in Indiana I have a friend out there that has a bunch of land but wanna hunt public

Great video as always. I do the same thing with heavily pressured spots, but I will add that this year much of the sign I was seeing on public land in Virginia (Big timber mountains) was in the most obvious access routs. I did an experiment and set up cameras. What I found was interesting. Given that most of the mature bucks are bedded in areas where unless THEY screw up they will see or smell anything that approaches, I found that they were using the hunter access corridors and watching them from bedding areas and letting hunters walk right past them. Multiple times I found pics and video of hunters walking right past a trail cam and then a good buck within 30 minutes checking scrapes or scent checking does on the exact same trail. They seemed unconcerned with the pressure since they had likely watched them walk through and stayed put until they knew they could cruise without being detected. This gave me some great plans for setups as long as I could get in without spooking anything and make my movement be in "dead zones" where deer weren't likely to be (approaching the long way down a ridge with no bedding nearby. Just that strategy kept me consistently seeing more mature bucks than I ever have before this season.

Bow hunting in AR has been tough this year. It’s been unseasonably dry which has altered rhe way the deer would normally navigate the woods. Duck hunters are insistent on looking for water in the woods that just isn’t there. Not to mention the squirrel hunters arr out in droves because they can meander around the dry woods and the mosquitoes have been off the chain. All that said, it’s been a humbling season. I hope you guys bagged one. Glad you are hunting AR.

Some areas the deer just know where to get to avoid the deer hunting pressure that will put them close to the duck hunters and almost not pay em any attention.
