It's worth buying I purchased mine 6 to 7 months ago. It is easy to find from phone, tablet (android or apple). Just so simple and very good quality.

Mostly printing graphics from photoshop. There are a lot of features that I might not need, such as scanner.
I'm thinking of getting CANON PIXMA iP8720 instead of this one.
+Cindy Cheong I use mine for school and work. It is fast and efficient if that helps.
Lasers use Toner, not ink. Toner is a sort of wax powder and that gets melted onto the paper with a laser. Hence, laser printer. That's also why you see a sort of glossy look to the solid prints, cause wax is sort of shiny. It's also why pages come out nice and warm.

You also can't use photo printer with a laser printer. Its a good way to kill your printer. Due to the heat it will melt the paper and ruin it.

You are also using a laser printer which uses toner, not ink. Its not laser ink. Its toner, its powder, not a wet ink. It will never come out wet. It comes out hot, because you are using heat for the transfer of toner to the paper!

Great review! You convinced me to buy one myself a few days ago, after some negotiation with HP on the final price. So far, I haven't had any issues with it. The one thing that's odd though is how the scanner works. When the printer is connected to my wireless router, the touch screen on the printer lets me send the scanned image directly to my computer's Documents folder. But when I plug in the USB cable and turn off the printer's wireless connection, I can only send the scanned image to a USB flash drive (like you did in your video). Seems odd that HP forces you to connect the printer to a network as the only way to send the image directly to a computer, but I guess I can live with it. The whole reason I bought the M277DW was because I previously had a HP Color LaserJet 1518, but I needed an All-In-One for color copying, scanning and faxing. That, and because the price was significantly discounted. And I do agree with you, Inkjet printers may produce better quality pictures, but after using several ones in the past and having the ink cartridges dry up on me, I've given up on them entirely.
The NFC icon you pointed to is for connecting your smart phone to if your phone is NFC capable. This HP appliance will print to or from your smart phone wirelessly or put your phone on the NFC icon and print from there. HP is back to their old future thinking just like they used to be in making this awesome all in one. HP IF you are listening Thank you this is an awesome device worth every penny.

Awesome device, really fast, efficient, easy to set up/configure and automatic duplex is the tits! Even can reanimate your fax if you're a 100 years old. Toners were enough to suffice for 2 YEARS of home usage. One flaw is exploitation costs should you stick to original toners, set of original toners costs more or less 430$ which is ridiculous compared to 65$ for non official set. I mean ffs I bought this printer from legit, online shop with a factory set of toners for around 350$ o_O. If non official toners wouldn't work it would be more profitable to buy next printer ...
Currently own this printer and I really want to share this. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER IF YOU ARE SOMEONE WHO WANTS FAST PRINTING! The main problem I am having with this printer is every time I try to print, it always shows printing document but nothing is happening after about 10 mins or so. It is not worth the price, and the colours are not so satisfying as it makes those ink dots all over my document if I want to print something with a lot of black in the pictures. Yes, it prints fast, but the time between pages gets longer after you own it for a while. I have done some research on Google hoping I am not the only one with this problem, and I have actually found some other people having the same issue. Disclaimer: I am not saying that your review is bad, you did a great job making this video and you really have showed us what this printer is like.
About the resolution quality of printing, this printer got 600 dpi, other inkjets got black: 1200 dpi, color: 1200x4800 dpi. So do inkjets have better quality than laser printers?

I must have got a lemon cuz mine worked for about 1 year and now gets stuck. When I touch the screen the initial symbol just goes round and round. When I reset it got froze at the language symbol. Any advice?

actually the thing on the top just feeds the paper into the flatbed scanner which actually copys it, so you can copy the CD.

How much cost the toner set?
Mine is an MFP M277 fdw, a B&W printer. The print assembly inside is FRAGILE. I jiggled a cartridge putting it in and a piece inside the printer popped off. Fixing it at Best Buy, where this printer cost $400+, would cost $100+. I'm going to sell this one and buy another, less tender, from another manufacturer.

ello very good video, I have this same printer and I have some doubt that I still do not know why I ask you.
1 - when you make an impression from the pc it sounds different from the printer noise of the roller that you have, that when you make a photo copy,
2 you can do duplex photocopy from the top of the screen, not from the scanener, if not from above the automatic
does it print on other papers than the normal 75 or 80 grams A4? I mean like glossy papers or thin canvas papers?

what about the cost of toner? and how many pages does it print before I have to buy new toner?
I was using a Samsung laser Xpress C430W, the quality was excelente but the toner doesn't last long, less than 300 pages and most of the toner was gone, and is too expensive. It supposedly last 1000 pages, but not even half of that. Big disappointment.
Now I'm using an Epson ecotank, the ink is really cheap and I don't have to worry about running out of ink, but the quality is not that great.

how much toner does this printer use? I've heard it uses more than usual.
when you print 1 sided to 2 it will pull the paper back into the printer. it should only be a matter of flipping the paper inside of the printer

It's been more than I needed haha, it's great. I used the scanner the most out of everything. The toner ink lasts forever it seems. It does it all. I still think this is for a business approach machine since it's huge and powerful.

Good review but Laser Printers dont have ink so it will never feel wet or rub off from the page. Laser printer has a toner powder like substance which is transfered on the paper through heat.

I have a compact 3 in 1 HP color m281dw printer. When I scan with the scanner, it erases naturally and the image is fine, and the printer prints properly and with excellent clarity.. My problem is when I copy a photo or document that the paper appears with many lines, what is the cause of the problem and what is the solution
Most laster printers don't print borderless (full bleed) documents, while many inkjet printers (finally) do. But I'm not a fan of inkjet. Can you print borderless on this printer (see your print settings)?

You did a single sided photocopy, does this printer do a auto double sided photocopy using the feeder at the top? or if anyone else can answer it would be really helpful.
