    Ok. Enough with bashing the Nissan CVT and the horsepower in the 2021 Rogue. I purchased Platinum for my wife. It rides well with little to no cabin noise or road noise. The power is just fine people. Nobody is trying to race at stop lights! Yes, it’s not the fastest off the line but most people do not buy vehicles to see how fast they go from 0-60. Please….. I drove a Maxima and very rarely was challenged to a race. Lol. This Rogue is stylish, roomy, economical at the pump, and extremely comfortable to drive. The CVT is fine and has been tweeked over the years. It’s not the same CVT from the first generation. Do your research. And enough with acting as if the CX5 is the best SUV out. Yes it drives well but the CX5 is extremely small inside, uncomfortable, and has no cargo space. If you want to buy a vehicle in this space for one particular attribute, you’ll probably find one that’s not a Rogue; BUT If you want a vehicle that checks all of the boxes to include, safety, comfort, style, space, drive, and gas mileage; you will probably end up with the Rogue as one of your top 2 choices in this class. And yes, test drove the CRV, Outlander, Rav 4, CX5, and the Tiguan. And all of these test driven were the top trim levels. Pound for pound and bang for the buck, All roads lead back to the Rogue. If you are really honest, you will probably say the same. Sorry people…….

      I agree my mom has a 2013 Sentra and the transmission already died once already. It died at like 65k miles. I don’t like the tranny on that car. I have the 21 rogue sv and I think it drives amazing. I have almost 65k miles on it

      The CVT/engine is the same. They just tweaked the software or something. That being said I have had no problem with my 2017 rogue. The extra power in the 2021 is nice.

    I've worked at a Nissan dealership on two occasions an can say they've upped their quality during stints at the dealerships. Yes, the CVT may still present some issues, but I've talked with Subaru Techs that I've also worked with and learned Subie has a bigger problem than Nissan does with theirs. And, in addition, the driver picking up the used "cores" for our CVTs stated that while he has been "only" picking up 8 cores from us, he picked up in excess of 25 from the Subaru dealership earlier in the week. ...and did so with much more frequency than he stopped for ours.
    I currently own a new '23 Ford, and am considering trading in for a Nissan despite the potential CVT issues because I want something I both can feel I trust, and can afford to own. That said, my '23 is already clunking in the front suspension at 7k and has had 2 recall -- which weren't critical issues, and Ford resolved quickly, but I also have a transmission which is making owl noises upon shifting. And have had more issues with the audio system glitching out than I've had with 7 years of Jeep/Ram products in less than 1 year of ownership.
    Sure, the '21 Rogue w/a 2.5L might not be the fasted or classiest SUV on the market, but it's stylish, classy, and offers some great value for the money. W/ the Premium package it's could be an outright bargain.

    I currently have a 2015 Rogue SV, my CVT was replaced under warranty at 78k miles, and yes the seats are the best, after very long drives, I can get out and not feel like I need to see a chiropractor for my back ! I couldn't say that with a 2006 Civic or 2010 Forester. The "zero gravity" seats are amazing.

    I own a 2015 it's a very reliable car love the smooth ride and comfortable for a small vehicle real cozy doesn't feel luxury but love the car think it's a nice looking car. I am interesting in the newer model need test drive one if something ever happens to my old one will replaced it with a 2021 first got to see which have it at dealership model want purchase with all (bells and whistles) not available might have to go out of town find exactly what model have with one having with all features. The newer 2021 looks better though current generation is good looking the newer is gorgeous they really nailed this car.

    coworker just leased a new rogue this week. I'm the guy who someone might say could drink used motor oil and be fine (I would not do it, TBS). Today he drove us to lunch. I had to keep the window open. It is now 8pm and I am still feeling queasy. My 18 f150 was not like that when I bought it. Wth are they making that stuff out of?

    I have a 2021 Platinum level rogue and ac is not working and the climate control sync and auto buttons do not work properly. When set for 61, the ac blows hot air on an 89 degree day. The dealer claims they have not heard of any climate control issues, yet there are numerous Nissan forums with complaints in which Nissan techs have written responses on stating they have no fix, it has to come from Nissan. Beware when you are looking for a new Rogue. I love so much about this car and functioning air conditioning is a necessity.

    Just bought my wife the 2021 Rogue and she loves it and I love it. I am a Toyota fan so I always bias toward toyota but I have to say the Rogue is better than the Rav 4 in almost every way. First of all the Rogue is cheaper than the Rav4 but for what you get it is so much better. The leg room and cabin room is so much bigger than the Rav 4. I am shocked how small the new Rav4 is. The looks is subjective and I like the look of the Rav4 better however the interior look of the Rogue is so much better. The interior of the new Rav4 is so cheap looking. It is like the guy who design the exterior refused to design the interior so a different guy did it. The shifter in the Rogue looks luxurious and better than Rav4.

      I just got the Rogue coming from a 2018 Honda CR-V. I love it but it was dated and boring. The rogue is much better In Comfort and technology BUT the Honda sense FCW , CTA and BSM is far better. I’ve had cars cut me off or I have tailgate someone ( just to test the system I’m not one of those drivers) and I got nothing. I was backing out of parking spot and cars and people were walking behind me and I got nothing!?! No warnings …Nada 👎 I love the car but I wanted a fresh start but man the Rogue has definitely many kinks to figure out. Get the Rogue if you don’t mind these issues. It’s fun to drive and very nice.

    • @epicwolf
      @epicwolf Před 3 lety

      Even though I praised the rogue for the value of what you get and my wife loves her new rogue, in terms of reliability they still need some work compared to Toyota and Honda. Nissan is trying to get customers with the value and the glits and glamour but the core issue of Nissan is their reliability. Ever since Renault bought off Datsun/nissan they bring the european raliability factor to it instead of Japanese. So far the Rogue has no issues but then again my wife have a brand new car. Until it hit maybe 80 thousand miles I might regret owning one. But by that time we probably get a new car.

The products look lively, modern, aggressive and exciting. Just like the new Pathfinder, I expect Nissan getting rid of the CVT on non-hybrid cars within the next two years.
