On a ropftop in Al Tabqa

during our time in tabqa we were with Sehid Abu layla's unit Northern sun battalion in control of the foreigner Apartment block overlooking the Hospital which isis had turned into a fortress.a day later a unit came to change us over as we headed to the south of the city district to start the advance into the city center and finally clear it from isis.
During the 2017 offensive to liberate Al tabqa from Isis control, SDF forces with the support of the coalition launched an offensive utilising Land water and Air offensives at the beginning at the operation SDF units were airlifted in after American SOF and Air power cleared landing zones while the majority of the heavy equipment and vehicles were transported across Lake Assad via Bridge pontoons that had been converted into a Ferry.
