I know there has been a lot of negativity about F1 24 pre-launch but I found the racing here to be quite good? The AI fought their corner despite it being on a lower AI setting. Managing ERS looks good. Managing fuel loads looks good. Tyre wear is nicely implemented now.
I realise that as a spectator I haven't experienced the handling yet (the key area everyone seems to dislike) but outside of that, this looks appealing to me.
Ben the reason the wing got changed was because you set it to "Yes" not because it has damage. IIRC in 23, you can change your front wing even if it isn't damaged.
The overspeed with the overtake ERS is ridiculously bad. Too arcadey.

You need to start suggesting new ideas, tweaks, everything NOW. So they can implement it for the next game not a month or two before like other creators do, Knowing it won't change and then saying "it's the same game"
They have given feedback since December at least. It seems that it has not been effective.
EA doesn't care either way because people pre order the game in droves
The game looks okay but I don’t think it is worth paying for if you already have F1 23. It’s just way to expensive for a yearly game.
I mean they could of changed the engineers voice or had different ones you could choose ..but no same old sounds 🙈
I’ve pre ordered it after owing F123 just due to new career features as career got boring on F1 23 and being able to use more people like icons can give lots of different career mode opportunities

In the beta i did 50% races around Bahrain, 2 stop was the only viable option and the only option suggested pre race. so i believe its very circuit dependant.

The sharp turn ins should not be dependent on the handling model, rather it should be setup. A stiff ARB on the front (which was ran in this race) should be like that. High grip and sharpness in fast corners. This looks more promising with suspension actually reacting to changes as it is supposed to.
I think the handling on sonic racing requires more skill at this point and I ain’t joking!

Why anyone is paying "full price" for a game we essentially already have with little to no "upgrade" in the game..no graphics update, no handling update (according to most people who have driven it). We already have 2024 liveries made by the modding community already, better HUDS etc etc.. even at 25% price it would cost too much. A copy / Paste with a few minor tweaks is not worth the full price of admission.
When you do your career, I think you need to use Logan Sargent give that man a legacy.
In real life higher pressure is less temperature? I don't think so but if anyone can link sources please do. Especially in intermediate conditions high pressure gives grip and temp faster but fades away sooner as we have seen in real life races.
Lower tyre pressure makes the tyre heat up faster, but, because it flexes more with the larger contact patch, the tyres will degrade much much faster.
Higher pressures are much more stable as the contact patch is smaller, temperatures and pressures will fluctuate significantly less as well.
ERS is way to powerful surely? The time gain is insane

Ben have you tried changing the steering rate in settings to maybe fix the sensitivity ?
I have yeah and 500 degrees feels closer to f1 23 but I have a suspicion it might make the lap times slower.
Won’t know fully until I get force feedback and can push properly
@Tiametmarduk thanks Hopefully the lap times stay the same or quicker with 500 degrees lol I hope they fix the handling but kinda doubtful tbh the game has some really good features but handling needs improvement.

its like everyone complaining about the handling just because theyre used to usual handling. for me however, i think the changes is good. like on the official f1 onboard, the car would be front sensitive and make the back end a bit loose. and the snappy counter-steer is somewhat realistic compared to f123 where you can slide around aka drifting. im happy with these changes. however, i dont like how they copy and paste the replay camera instead of making it comes from the actual car. also the car sounds it revs higher and the gear change sounds a lot like f1 2015.
The game is great, everything they have added is awesome, but I prefer the 2023 handing model and the centre HUD display, car and the front end looks too sharp and weird to turn or move and is very sensitive, and the HUD is just bad, EA just need to stop inventing and changing stuff that doesn't need to be change.

The franchise is slowly being ruined. If they dont fix this game, specifically the handling, they will lose alot of money. For the first time in 4 years, I've held off ordering until I saw what we were getting. Glad I did because this is the worst launch I've ever seen in terms of gameplay. How they could get handling so bad tells me they didnt spend much time developing this game. Yet they want to charge more than normal for it. I say shove it EA. No reason leagues can't continue on 23 until this garbage gets fixed, if it does.
This is just a disgrace. They completely ruined the game. And I`m not even suprised. I was saying it for years now,but nobody wanted to talk about it. Everyone was kissing codemasters ass, so they stay on their good side,get the game early and everything else. Now its just another arcade game,even worse then GT. And if you think that its going to get better.. good luck with that!

@@russelljordanSimRacing Not really mate, even Jarno can't keep up with 100 AI on F1 24 right now. Either there has been a change to the difficulty or the handling really is that much different and people need more time to dial in.
