Stab the brakes with your left foot while gassing with your right. It’ll make the differential “think” it has traction where it doesn’t and the other tires will start going.
Driver experience has A LOT to do in off roading as well. I used to have a tacoma with open diffs, but i could powerbrake it enough to get it to power all 4 wheels at crawl speed
If the city boy in the tahoe would press the gas more than 1/4 he’d had made it a lot better. All these guys look like they played an off-roading Xbox game and decided to do it for real.
This video is a prime example of why even a factory gm G80 locker is better than nothin. Because open diffs causes you to be spinning in a situation where you should be able to creep through
Front and rear diff locks make a big difference as people see. Put front and rear diff locks in the Chevy's in they will do the same thing every single Jeep on the road does
6:48 every Chevy of this gen, ever. My Tahoe has the same thing. Weak seals get water in and shorts bulbs out regularly. I just pulled both out. My Z71 does pretty damn good off-road.
Man i gotta get my blazer put togeather every video i watch makes me wanna go blaze around up there do you guys plan on going back down by freadom falls area ?
It must have one of those anti-slip locking rear differentials. I remember having one on my 2500. It was a perfect piece of junk. Never got me out of anything. I am moving to a Ram truck with selectable switch operated rear lockers.
I remember.. one of the wheels has to spin before it clamps down an locks both. By the time it gets that done you have lost traction and are up a creek without a paddle.
The G80 is a mechanical locker, when one wheel spins a little faster than the other it locks them both together. You can lock it by hand pretty easily when you have the rear jacked up. They work great when they haven't been abused.
People underestimate tire chains in mud. I live on dirt roads and chains got me out when my front CV was toast with alterain tires. Now mud tires and 4×4 works great
Yep my Tahoe has them and it make a hell of a difference.. i mean night and day difference lol my 1st Tahoe didn't have the g80 and it was kinda disappointing.. them lockers are the shit key to it is never let off the gas keep the tire spinning or the locker will disengage and can cause some fun lol i love em and tough as hell i give mine no slack and shes got over 200.000 miles probably 100.000 of the miles offroad..
@@harryfp1494 oh of course, you're right on that for sure. But pretty much every 4x4 Silverado, Tahoe, or Suburban that I've seen has had a g80. At least the 2000 and up models. All Z71s have it
I never seen so many bald tires .......

Great job spotting the silverado down the hill..... yep straight back, back a little more, perfect now your off the trail and in the trees
🤣 right!
I done messed up.
Driver experience has A LOT to do in off roading as well. I used to have a tacoma with open diffs, but i could powerbrake it enough to get it to power all 4 wheels at crawl speed
a lot of effort tho

Some of the worst spotting I've seen🤣🤣 and this is the simple stuff, along with guys not willing to send it.
for real when and doubt throttle out hose

The one G80 there couldn't make it up the hill...
I remember my first time wheeling these guy's have video of theirs
That jeeps not a 50k jeep.... 🤔
What’s with the spare tire mount on the pickup? You should spend the money on tires instead of a useless mount
It's to look cool but you're still a moron with bald tires
Front and rear diff locks make a big difference as people see. Put front and rear diff locks in the Chevy's in they will do the same thing every single Jeep on the road does
There’s only a total of 17 brains cells in this Video😂

That’s a nice tahoe, I have one myself but its just lifted with mud terrain tires
Man i gotta get my blazer put togeather every video i watch makes me wanna go blaze around up there do you guys plan on going back down by freadom falls area ?
Get going on it! Eventually, yes.
If you don't mind me asking where do y'all go to do this? I'd love to go offroading some people

Excellent video like always!
Not all jeep wranglers have lockers F & R. They start with the Rubicon
Soooooo, why no lockers, mud terrains or lowered tire pressure???
$500? how many miles did it have?
5:13 push the truck sideways. Push from the passenger side. If you guys push the back end of it while he's gassing it ....it will slide away from tree
Blue truck really Try’s that hill in 2wd🤔
Where is this trail at?
Dude n blue Silverado just needs to turn into it more it being a tire shop🧐
2:24 just sit on the hood🤣
He def went and got his banana. This is a sad example of off-roading.
Extremely sad indeed. My grandmother could probably do a better job
That banana is like your Dad, left and never came back...
THAT WAS A PERFECT FUCKING BANANA!
I thought z71 package came with the g80 ?? The pickup truck diddnt seem to lock the rear wheels as it should have
A G80 is not a locker, it won't always lock the tires in every situation.
@@traviscurtis439 i think when it spools to a certain rpm it engages and stays locked untill it drops in rpm
Mr GMC631 the Eaton G80 only locks when the EBCM detects that a wheel in the rear is spinning 100 RPM faster or more than the other.

@@tylerg6756 yeas they do! Mine have never let me down!
those are not 40" on the not married tahoe lol maybe 37"
street tire aren't the best for off road no bit
So why are you guys leaving CZcams? You can’t leave! You’re my favorite channel!!
#probablyclickbait
Are those really 40s on the not married tahoe?🤔
I thought he was chainin up when he throwed those bags out. Why don't people use traction chains tho for wheeling?
People underestimate tire chains in mud. I live on dirt roads and chains got me out when my front CV was toast with alterain tires. Now mud tires and 4×4 works great
You could replace the open diff to a g80 locker
That wouldn't be bad
i thought tahoe’s had a g80
@@kegangarrison9038 they do look in your glove box and look for G80 code
@@danielmcdaniels295 oh ok
That tahoe must not have the g80 locker
What bumper is on that Tahoe? Thanks
Custom hand forged. Modeled after Tacoma bumpers
What size tires on the tahoe ??? Any lift??
Which one? The big one has 37's the little one was stock
Z71 😂😂 Best to stay ON THE ROAD.
Plz for the love of all that is Holy post more vids.
We would love to! But our wheeling opportunities are slim.
Rpm is a friend 😂
More gas less break
Blue z71 needs some good diggers.
I didn't see an answer to the G80 question...did those tahoes and the Z71 have G80s???
Some do. My wifes current Tahoe does as well as our old 05 z71 Tahoe we had. The 04 did not though. The z71 is the bestway to go.
The Tahoe's have open diffs. The Silverado has the G80 in the rear.
@@ateamoffroad wrong. Z71 model Tahoe came with G80 locking differential which could also be special ordered with a non Z71 model
less skid plates and lights more lockers and tires
what did tahoe's wife do to him when she saw this video ?
She was pretty unfazed by the whole thing, it's pretty normal to her at this point 😅
is the bigger tahoe on 35's and what kind of lift kit
It's on 37's. And pieced together 3 inch body 3 inch suspension lift
Good Lord that Silverado looks good🔥🔥
No g80 diff on that Tahoe huh?.
No G80. It has a Detroit Truetrac as of now tho
gmt400 was the best tahoe 2000 z71
She need Eaton G80

Fyi them ain't no fucking 40s them 35s 🤦♂️
Wrong on both accounts. 37's
I thought Tahoe out wheeled the jeep?? Jeep was the one that pulled that Chevy uphill. Please invest in better tires on Tahoe.
Exhibit A: Two silver Tahoes. One married. One not.
What all is done to the not married tahoe? Honestly it didn't do too bad for having ATs
Not married spec: open diffs, 3 inch body lift, 3 inch suspension lift, and 37 12.5 R17's
Lockers please
Your not wrong
You're both wrong. #lockherup
It should have a locker stock, the G80 Gov Lock. Pretty much all gm 4x4s have it I thought. Maybe this one was broke. Bummer.

horrible, all of it
