Could you please make a video on the Barreleye fish, although there is hardly any footage on it but it’s probably one of the most weirdest yet mesmerising deep sea creatures in the world
That thing appears in Octonauts under the name "spookfish". It also shows up in Wild Kratts. Yeah, there's barely any footage of it, but from what I've seen, it's kinda cute, most deep-sea beasts are downright repulsive.

I remember searching for more video footage besides the same 3 clips of that one video. The head of the fish looks so fascinating, I want to see it in quality footage. I just hope scientists and biologists are able to surface a video of the mysterious fish.
What is supposed to be creepy about these guys? Goblin sharks are 1000% scarier. Honestly i think sunfishes are creepier looking... they just look wrong
goblin sharks only have that weird jaw when they're out of the water, or near the surface lacking water pressure. Plenty of fish have weird protruding jaws they use to catch prey, the goblin shark just got a bad rap

I think ghost sharks are actually really beautiful. Their colors when light hits them are stunning. I actually think they’re cute

I had an amazing encounter with a chimaera at the Georgia Aquarium. It swam right up to me after I’d been at the tank for a while! It was truly stunning seeing it emerge from the darkness; what incredible creatures.
Hopefully this chimera wasn't made with alchemy and doesn't say "Ed...ward..."

Myles W I prefer calling them the Painted Dogs. They don’t look wild to me, but rather elegantly painted.
@@peppermint8713 I personally always called them Cape Dogs. But they aren't called Wild Dogs for being savage. Butvjsntead because they can't be domesticated or tamed. You see these animals are so dependant on their pack structure. (unlike wolves who can live without a pack if needed.) They can't be tamed, it would require taking the whole pack. They say when humans were first domestication wolves these animals were running in lacks numbering in the 50s.

After taking an ichthyology class I worked commercial fishing one summer. We caught a ratfish and I was so excited to see one up close. Their metallic/iridescent skin and the sensory lines are really unique. And yes, unfortunately it didn't survive being caught.

I caught a short nosed chimera a couple of years back while fishing on a school trip (on a boat). It was right outside of Drøbak in Norway and it was far cuter than how it was shown in this video.
