It was later recorded by actress Valerie Stevenson and actor John Stamos on the original soundtrack of the CBS sitcom Dreams in 1984. American rock band Heart covered it on their 1987 album Bad Animals, and this version reached number one in the US and Canada. In 2007 Celine Dion recorded it for her album Taking Chances. In 2010 Alyssa Reid used the music and lyrics for the chorus of her song Alone Again.

I'd pit Ann's voice against any singer (male or female) out there. She is a phenom!! Saw her this summer and she can still hit the notes although possibly not quite as long as formerly but given that she is 73, I wouldn't expect her to. I love her voice!!

My second comment just because I love seeing someone become a fan. Nobody and I do mean nobody has a voice like Ann. Btw, they still tour. I was suppose to go see them this past summer but, covid hit and shut down everything. Girl, I will let you know when they start touring again. Look up some of their other videos from the 70's and 80's.

I've been a huge fan of Heart since 1977 when Little Queen came out. Seen them many times in concert. Ann and Nancy are both out of this world talented. Some songs of theirs that you should listen to are Crazy on You, Magic Man, Barracuda, Dog and Butterfly, Never, and Black on Black II.
I was blessed to see Heart live in the late 70's. They were even better in concert.

I love this commercial 80s era from them. Some old fans hate them for it, but i think these 80s singles are wonderfull.
From the 80s this one, Alone, is amazing. But my fave is These Dreams...a bit mellow, but just grabs me by the heart.

I have seen them 5 times and met the sisters but was fortunately able to build the stage at a Heart/Joan Jett show and got to meet the girls

Empress, its so gratifying to see a young person like you appreciating the ability of the Wilson sisters. ‘Alone’ is one of my ‘test songs’ -if a singer can do this song justice, she’s a good singer. Carrie Underwood, the year she won American Idol, killed this song and even sang it with Ann Wilson later on.
If you want a rare treat from these girls , the CD is Little Queen and the track features Nancy on a Mandolin for the musical intro for the song "Dream of the Archer"

Heart is one of my all time, ever favorite Bands, My parents got me tickets for their Bad Animals tour, for my 16th Birthday at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City Utah, your reaction to this video is priceless. You haven't seen or felt anything until you have seen them, live and in person incredible , and unforgettable. Another video you may want to react to is Bad Animals. What about Love also dog and butterfly 🦋 they are legendary. I still love them to this day. Ann made the hair and goosebumps stand at attention doing the live version in concert of this exact song, alone is one of their best ever song's for sure.

Great Song and video but people didn't realize that in the 80's they would only show Ann's face because she had gained weight. So they focused more on Nancy doing what she does with her kicks and pointing up to the sky etc.
