It's good ..worth going to the cinema for ..........but it is Michael Keaton at his sneery best which elevates it from very ordinary. Whenever he is on screen he absolutely holds your attention.

The one and only big problem with this movie is: SONY. As the one who responsible for doing promotion job, they've showed us too many important footages and clips in the trailers. But if you are kind of person who doesn't care at all about being spoiled with these things, so there will be no big deal. The movie is good. Lot of fun. I loved it. 4 of 5 stars from me.

Yea, I just rewatched it for the first time in ages, the screams stuck out like a sore thumb. Very strange choice on Raimi's part. A couple of screams, sure, but the film is totally filled to the brim with women screaming. Lol.

Spiderman 2 from sam raimi was a hit because it showed a more human spider man with daily problems that everyone has. Besides being a movie of humor, about the love triangle created by Raime I found The franchise very annoying, one of the weak points of the franchise

I am yet to see a better Spider-Man than the first two TM films. However, it is much better than the reboot we had recently, his character worked but not as well as TM, because he came across as a little confident most times and quiet popular at school unlike what Peter Parker is supposed to be, it has potential but I would've liked to see a stand alone spider man without any mention of the avengers.

I thought that 'Spider-man: Homecoming' was a lot better than what had gone before. All that mental anguish has been dispensed with for a far more straightforward action movie. Yay. The humour almost entirely failed for me, but it was light-hearted enough to jockey it along with some perfectly good lead cast performances. 3/5

I love this Spiderman too. He is always talking and that reminds me of the comic strip that I know him from. The best friend is great, and the love interest (Mary) is perfect fit for high school. Loved "Far from Home" even more, but this one is 2nd place.
Spiderman is #1 and Hulk is #2 from when I was a kid, but finally it seems they picked a personality that feels like Spiderman to me. The innocent, talkative high school kid is a great fit for explaining why he seems so innocent and talkative.

_Homecoming_ is a *mediocre-but-fun* movie, in my opinion.
The whole "High school Life vs Avengers Membership" conflict the film was going for felt weak seeing as Peter didn't seem to care that much for his friends or High school Activities.
And Zendaya's character was criminally underused. (She's still my favourite character, though. Can't wait to see more of her in the sequel)

Keaton and Downey Jr (who i've loved as Iron Man since 2008) were the best aspects of this film . Tom Holland played it safe by imitating aspects of Andrew Garfield's and Tobey Maguire's Spidey rather than doing a unique interpretation . The weak script did not help poor Tom though. After Spidey's very promising MCU debut in Civil War this is a bit of a let down . This ain't a patch on Spiderman 2 .

That's why I've sworn off watching trailers --the 2nd & 3rd trailers *always* spoil too much. I recommend _only_ watching 1st trailers of films you know you're going to see in theaters.
Also, I agree with you on _Homecoming_ : it felt like it had no stakes cos the whole conflict ("High school Life vs Avengers Membership") feels weak when Peter doesn't seem to care that much about his High school Activities.

I gave it 5/10 at most. It was boring, predictable, cringe humour as is to be expected with a marvel film. Felt like a nickelodeon straight-to-dvd film. At no point did Tom Holland feel like Spiderman. Minus near the end where he lifts something heavy, you get no indication that he has any kind of super strength or agility because he's too busy being slapped around by everyone. His best 'friend' is unbearably annoying and selfish. Keaton was by far the best thing about Homecoming and possibly the only character I cared about. How this nonsense has 94% on rotten tomatoes I have no idea. Raimi's 3rd Spiderman was better than this.
