This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

For those who need a summary, here's the 3 pillar for fair globalization :
    1. Giving people the opportunity to make a difference 7:32
    2. Transparency 8:52
    3. (I'm not entirely sure abt this one but I think the 3rd pillar is that we need to understand the people behind our products just like we understand pop stars and others through the social media 10:29)

Whenever I lose hope and look toward the future with dread, I will re-watch this video to remind myself that there is a new generation of creative, intelligent, idealistic innovators coming of age. At a time when most people are consumed with self-interest in a world where exploitation is more prevalent than empathy, Jonathan Funke is developing a vision where fairness and humanity are not only possible but necessary for survival in this shrinking and fast-changing world.

Yes, we can do this ! This is one of the building blocks for a fairer society, it would reduce poverty, coruption and would literally bring people closer to each other through the products we buy and the appreciation given.

I didn't really see any method for transformation or projects he is working on, just flowery adjectives. Change requires action followed by speech.

Was really interested in the subject, but had to turn it off after the third lip-smacking within 10 seconds.

Not great. The audio techs screwed up as you should not hear mouth noises anywhere near that often and the speech is too difficult to summarize.

Globalization certainly has a less aggressive connotation than imperialism so it ought to fulfill its definition through fairer trade.
