The unit heats up fast and is super quiet. It looks fancy czcams.com/users/postUgkxl8Od2BvnGbn1ffwqsuFXW0QnmcZgMiVY and can be kept in the living room. It gets hot within a split second of turning on the unit. The build quality is exceptionally good and is safe to be around kids and pets. This one is super quiet and can be kept on while in office meetings, my wife loved it. It shows the temperature right on the unit which is very useful and adding a rotating feature helps to heat up the surrounding, so other people will not fight with you for heat. It is right as described in the description..!! Definitely recommend!!

I have the exact pool since 2019 + same Salt water system, outside, summer and winter. It gets to 15 degree in my area in winter and the pool held perfectly fine. I had a leak in one of the hoses this year and replaced it with the same one from Intex for $3.50. No rust nor leak with the line. Very good quality pool

@@annmodroborowski5092 I originally bought the "INTEX 26667EG QS500 Krystal Clear Saltwater System". It stopped working couple weeks after warranty expired. I hacked the wire inside it (learned from youTube ) and made it work again, but still went ahead and bought another similar one (sound stupid, I know, but it's the most affordable one, Plus, the other available ones from different makers do not have great reviews either). I'm surprised though, the original pump that came with the pool still functioning flawlessly until now

Nice video. I never set mine up the 1st time. Today we changed out the liner. Without plumbing in a proper leaf skimmer like past models your pool will get dirty very fast. I Just cut out one of those 1 inch holes to a 3 inch proper hose connection to connect leaf skimmer I'll block out the middle hole.

    • @TheImpressiveMix

Saltwater just means that you fill it up with your regular garden hose/regular water, and then you add bags of salt (pool salt bags can be bought at any local pool store) to turn your pool water into a saltwater pool! Then you just consistently use testing strips to check the salt levels in the water, and it lets you know if you have too much or too little salt content in the water. Thank you for watching! Glad the video helped you guys :)

Hello & thank you for providing this instructional installation video. This exact brand & pool size is what I'm contemplating purchasing. I have a question, hopefully you can answer, regarding the best performing intex sand filter & saltwater system to go along with this pool. I'm interested in going with the 16" intex 26679eg qx2600 krystal clear sand filter pump & saltwater system. According to the design specs, the minimum pool gallons recommended is 4800, which is slightly more than 4545 gallons that the 18x9 pool is built for. I'd prefer to go with this one because I'd prefer a bit more stronger gpm/gph flow, more water movement, if possible. Based upon your experience, would this be doable or problematic?...Thanks in advance!

Thank you for putting together such a very helpful video. I recently acquired a used pool exactly the same as you have here, the only problem is it lacks the restrainer straps that connect the U supports to the pool flaps using the 12" plastic pipe. I will be forever grateful if you could tell me the length of the restrainer strap measured from end to end when in place. I'm forced to improvise a substitute since they are nowhere to be found in the U.S.

Thanks for watching! Unfortunately, I don't know/remember the exact width of the straps, but they're basically the same width as the horizontal space between the two long bars of the U-shaped leg. And by the way, it looks like restrainer straps are In Stock on Intex's website as of now! Here's the link: intexcorp.com/replacement-parts/above-ground-pools/ultra-frame/18ft-x-9ft-x-52in/2018/26351eh/pool/10938d-restrainer-strap-for-9ft-x-18ft-x-52in-12ft-x-24ft-x-52in-16ft-x-32ft-x-52in-rectangular-ultra-frame-pools/

@@TheImpressiveMix thanks for replying. I managed to obtain the measurements which are just under 12" x 18" for the restrainer flaps. Because they are currently unavailable from the manufacturer, I have come up with a substitute that may be of use to others in the same situation. Since the flap attached to the pool is 6" wide and the plastic connecting rod is 12" long, that leaves 3" on either side of the pool flap. That leaves enough room for me to use two 18" tie-down straps on either side to connect to the bottom of each of the U-supports to the exposed ends of the connecting rod. I could have gotten by with using only one per side (two per support) but I felt more comfortable distributing any stress on the support over a wider area by using 4 in total.

Would you not think a concrete pad would be a good purchase?

Great video. Can I use a heavy duty (industrial type) extension cord for this?

Have a pool exactly like that this is our third summer thinking of converting it to saltwater but love it waiting for the weather to warm up to get in it

Definitely research.. heard alot of people complain that the saltwater version of this pool rust and corroded within first year or 2.

on the top rail, did you ever have issues with your holes in the liner lining up with the rail itself? one end seems to fit and the other end is off?
