    Hey Jay, Kingfish are structure based in deep water and will turn up mid December and will stay in Botany Bay until Easter or there abouts, I have never have a problem with tangles with this rig. Choose sinkers to suit run in the water, heavier for faster run, lighter for less.

    great stuff Scotty see you out there quite often , but i have been concentrating on the trevally and flatties on the light gear for too long as enjoyable as it is i need to pull out my big rig and have a crack thanks mate !

    Bro not a good idea putting your thumb in its gills especially if releasing, better to have a wet towel at ready to handle it before releasing

    Hey Scott when you have it down the bottom do you put your rod in free so spool? I have a bait runner type egg beater and would like to know if I put it in the running mode or not.

      Up to you mate its just slower to get to the bottom and it may also ware it out.
