- It's big, it's bouncy and Wyatt does not like it. But will it rally? What time will this 2012 Toyota Sequoia set on our mountainous rally stage here at Team O'Neil?

“Anything is a rally car if you’re brave enough” I’d totally buy that t-shirt.
For cars that cut throttle when you try and left-foot brake, if you reach up and disconnect the brake light switch connector near the top of the pedal that will usually prevent the ECU from taking your throttle away when you left foot brake. 350Z guys have to do that to stop their cars doing the same thing.
Gotta love that the Sequoia in 2wd was faster than the Bronco Raptor in 2wd. That's hilarious
That is genuinely terrifying. LOL
A sprinter van would be interesting.
I LOVE my Sequoia. Big, comfy, reliable as hell, and the best road trip vehicle we've ever had. That being said, it did rally better than I expected. I thought it would have rolled halfway through the course. lol
As a fan of the Sequoia (for overlanding), I was sorry to see you didn't like it, but happy to see it scoot down those straightaways 💨
I'd really like to see a Mazda Miata
Back in 2012, I believe the Limiteds had an air suspension in the rear that likely was shot, exacerbating the "wallow" you're feeling. Converting to regular springs is a common mod for these. I run LT E-rated tires on ours (SR5 so no air suspension) and it's a pretty firm ride.
Toyota really leaned into the brake pedal/throttle cut after the floor mat unintended acceleration issue in the '00s.

this is awesomely random!
Never thought I would see our family cruiser on this channel. 4.30 gears definitely help get that boat moving!
I have a 2011 Platinum. I seriously love this thing. Capable enough offroad for my needs with a basic tire/suspension upgrade plus almost 0 maintenance at 215K. I got it airborne in Moab. It was awesome to launch a 6k pound vehicle. I broke a few things inside when I did, but that was because my tools bounced and broke some pieces of plastic. The vehicle was fine!!!
Well.....guess ill be addicted to this series now....
I love the tundras and have wanted one of these for a few years now. Thanks, Wyatt! Enjoying the upload with my morning coffee
I’ve had 2 first gens in the past 4 years, and man they will rally in 4wd.
I don't know what you're talking about - that was beautiful.
I just watched a car roll over at our last rallycross event here in Texas, watching this was terrifying! Especially the e brake turns
