Answer to Rug's question about lifesavers:
All hard sugar based candies give off some light when you bite them but it's usually extremely faint, this occurs when the sugar in crystal form breaks and some of the electrons from the sugar is forced out of their atomic fields. These electrons then bump into nitrogen molecules (our atmosphere is ~78% nitrogen so it's everywhere đđ) these nitrogen molecules get excited and give off ultraviolet (nonvisible) light, but they do emit a small amount of visible light as well.
But as you know, specifically wintergreen lifesavers give off a much greater amount of light and that's because of a compound called methyl salicylate which basically absorbs the ultraviolet light and reemits it as visible blue light đđ

This is due to triboluminescence, which is the emission of light resulting from something being smashed or torn. If you do this to a Wint-O-Green Life Saver, you can see a much greater amount of light (blue sparks!) due to the wintergreen flavoring or methyl this is how life savers spark.

Hey the one abt balloon actually works. I have tried it for college fest and we did make many of those. The thread was immersed into glue and then was attached on to the balloon, after which balloon was popped using a pin and the pattern retained its shape

7:49 you were supposed to add more string and and glue to keep shape of the balloon
You canât put glue on the balloon, until the balloon is totally covered with string, then spray the string with glue. When you put glue on the balloon as you wrap it, once you pop the balloon, it causes the string to also collapse.
You had a harder time with the bottlecap trick/hack because you were trying to pop off a twist top bottlecap. Also, don't just push up, you need to create leverage. So with the cap you place your thumb in, tilt it up just enough so you can get the ridged edge up under the edge of the sealed cap; push the cap under your thumb against the neck of the bottle and that's when you start pushing up.
