The Dacke War can be avoided by having the modifier "Support of the Peasantry", which you get from one of the new Swedish missions.

Disbanding the army would make sense if the cost of maintenance over an assumed period of time would be higher than retraining the army at some point. Of course that does not explain Bohemia going from 23 to 10 then training back up to 16 almost instantly lol. As for Poland and Lith, remember they were just in a war with Muscovy losing lots of troops. And I bet they were deep in debt maybe even had some mercs? So disband the army and try to pay off the debt is another option if they assume peace is coming for a long period of time.
Also small chance they may have been restructuring. If their economy was good, maybe they disbanded infantry for cav or art
@@sessmurda Well that could explain Bohemia. Got a new tech so get rid of soldiers, keep 10, then refill with a good arty/cav mix. But Poland dismantled everything.

check the scandinavian national ideas again and be amazed. You just skipped to look at the awesome cav fire plus 0.5 which is abosolutley broken aswell as the possible building in EACH province plus 1. The scandinavian ideas are probably the best in the game

That War Taxes button means it will auto enable when in war btw, not that it is currently active (when out of war).
Also, you can build spy network on an enemy to increase siege bonus of 0.2% per point.

English people saying swedish words wrong will always be funny. Btw Stormaktstiden translates to "The great power era" in english and Stormaktstiden is an era that actually happened in Sweden. I know all this cause im swedish

War taxes only take away military power when you're at war, by the way.
When you're at peace it doesn't penalize you at all.
You better start improving relationships with those two now.

I got France in a PU and as soon as I changed their religion to Protestant, they wiped a 60k+ army to nothing.

hey is there some bug with coalitions right now? Im playing Vijayanagar, I had no coalition problems for 50 years, expanded a lot but most nations under 50 ae... I then did a war against a large Multan & took only like 5-6 provinces.. some 8 nations went over 50ae but usually thats no major problem.. nations enter a coaltion, i build a few units, a year or so later they leave, i go on warring... this time, ive been coaltioned for 15-20 years unable to war.. no one ever leaves it.. many have gone below 50ae.. ive improved relations with 3 of them above 0 and less than 50 ae, none leave... i built more armies... none leave... Hormuz - 44 ae, khorasan - 19 ae, transoxiana - 23 ae, multan - 150 ae, mewar - 33 ae, malwa - 282 ae, bengal 112 ae.... i thought ones less than 50ae usually leave then its less powerful so the rest leave also.. its 1512 - ive waited nearly 20 years without warring.. nothing is happening.. im allied to afghanistan (13k) & ayutthaya (48k) - i have 80k troops.. ive never had a coaltion just stay there and nothing happen.. either they declare war or they leave.. i think the game is broken?

Just don't forget to force religion and culture on your new and old subjects. You won't need to use so many missionairies, and you'll get more caroleans later on.

I dunno if you being an expert EU4 player would find this nation difficult or not but have you ever tried to play one of the Hindu OPM's in India? I recently tried to play Jaisalmer and got screwed over by the game and quit pretty quickly. I wanted to make a fully Hindu India. Not a world conquest, just a big India. I know I could have an easier time as Vijayanagar but I'm wondering what would be the best way to play one of the OPMs? Is it just RNG & reloading until your bordering nations don't get good allies? Is there a guide? I can't find one. In my playthru Sindh Allied Gujarat, Multan allied Jaunpur, you can't attack Jangladesh cos its a vassal of Delhi & I started improving with Malwa to hope to ally them against Mewar, but then they decided within a year or two that they wanted my land and hated me. So I quit. I see no way to expand. No one but OPMs want to ally me. Best way to play this nation or a similar Hindu OPM? Advice? Thanks...
@@cubefreak123 i gave up on achievements & ironman after about 30 of them cos i realised u need to do like 300 playthrus.. they are very nation specific.. i cant be bothered to do entire playthrus just for 1-2 achievements.. also i like to save scum cos i hate how much the game cheats on sieges.. im playing vjanagar now cos its easier.. took most of south & central india within 30 years... but like i said i save scum.. i make sure the enemy never moves more than 7% per month on sieges and i make sure my sieges always win on 28 or 35% and if im really low on manpower i even save scum battles... literally reloading 100 times making sure all my dice rolls are higher than the enemy.. but hey. im not that good at the game... either that or i have some super tough version of the game that no one else has.. for example.. i almost never see youtubers having problems with rebels... my vjianaagar playthru after i beat bahamanis and various others in the first 5-10 years i had like 10 rebel factions spawning, the first fight with bahamani took all my manpower... one rebel faction was 23k.. i only had 30k soldiers which were down to 15k due to battles and 0 manpower... its odd how youtubers never seem to have this problem... or do they cheat?
