The cult music makes coincidental sense because a person who helped produce this was a scientologist, who had connections to hollywood, which I'm pretty sure is how they got big names on board to voice act. I think it was Nancy, Bart's voice actress.
Also, this actually aired on tv once. The history behind this movie is insane. You got the voice actress of Ariel from disney's Little Mermaid. The woman who played Belle in disneys Beauty and the Beast. Mark Hamilton, who plays the rich blonde's dad at the end of the movie. Clint Howard, who played one of the bullies (and idk which one. One second he's the blue haired one and the next its someone else, so it doesn't matter. He's still in it). The person who voice acts the main character was a powerranger. They got a LOT of big names for this pile of crap, and its thanks to Nancy.
Edit: I just remember a huge thing where the main guy who produced this, who managed to bag Nancy do to their Scientology connection, ended up keeping a majority of the money put into it and only gave up the film itself after being called out on it a number of times.

There were some clips that looked more polished, so I'm guessing he showed it to her saying it was a rough draft and that he needed her help to get it off the ground.
It's common, when getting investors, to prepare a sample of what you're going for to persuade them. He tricked a lot of people, and I believe Nancy may have been one of them.
After the production, he ended up keeping a lot of money. He tried to keep the movie to himself afterwards and sneak off with the cash, but, as I said, he got constantly called out for it. This movie exists because it was an elaborate scam

Yea from what I read the director Colin Slater was a snake with a charming personality. He wanted a full Disney quality movie for the cost of a shoe lace and a program you’d find on your desktop (and Ignored warnings he needed to spend millions for what he was proposing) and pocketed some of the extra leftover as the animators somehow managed to go under budget. He was a smooth talker that had worked with Warner brothers so he was able to convince a few Disney animators (who weren’t given a good tutorial and was expected to crunch the entire movie in 4 months) and well known voice actors/actresses including animated Ariel and Belle’s to help him.
He didn’t direct other than occasionally doing “oh good job there” so the two remaining animators added the snowman winking when he’s “credited”. And he ghosted someone who was trying to get a copy of the film after trying to bribe money first. He’s the type of person that would do nothing for the group project but wants credit. It came to a point where he fired one of the animators for telling the truth to an investor. And doing the viewing of its first premiere people walked or stormed off.
So chaotic for what 💀 the movie is nowhere near worth all this drama
J Rose was actually the one who paid for the movie. Colin was the one who scammed that guy and likely took the rest of the money. The program was called 3D Choreographer which definitely shouldn’t be used for making movies.
Holy shit, how can this be real. This is a clear example that truth is in fact stranger than fiction
