If it's still healthy, it should sound deeper like Miley's or mariah's. But Britney had to lip many performances at the pretext of dancing (which wasn't anymore as intensive as it was before her knee injury) to sustain the baby voice. But I'm just wondering why after she quitted Jive, she didn't scrap off that baby voice
The videos in 2000's had no story line, thats why they all look futuristic. Unlike the 80's videos most of those video had a story, thats why they were attractive to see.

Yes! It was just the trend, it's what sold. Remember this is 100% Commercial music. If someone else did it and found success, others followed suit. Singers really didn't have much opinion on song selection or vision, they were simply a product to be sold.

I actually did the Visual Effects for this video. A 3D affiliate did the backgrounds which we composited from green screen performance shots. Lots of beauty clean up on her. This was the video she references in her Proactiv spots. All the "cane dance" section was pretty much hand painted (rotoscoped) frame by frame. I think we did it all in 2 days. We wanted more time to add contact shadows & motion blur the canes & other things but budget and time always take over. Yeah, and it was 2001.

I don't understand why her record label chose this song as the second single from the album. There were so many good songs to be selected. What's it gonna be could have been a huge hit in Europe.
R&B-tinged pop was very popular around 2001. I distinctly remember loving this song when it came out and thinking it was very in line with all the R&B-influenced pop that was popular at the time. This was honestly her best shot at the time. It's a catchy song. And I actually remember that this video and Irresistible were in constant rotation on music video stations in Germany at the time. I always saw them.
