Bitva u Lipan 2023

Rekonstrukce Bitvy u Lipan z pohledu účastníka bitvy.
Bitva u Lipan se odehrála 1434 u vesnice Lipany. Vojáci utrakvisticko-katolické aliance v čele s Divišem Bořkem z Miletínka zde drtivě porazili polní vojska sirotčího a táborského svazu, tvořící páteř vojenských složek radikálního křídla husitského hnutí. V průběhu bojových operací zahynul i vůdce radikálů Prokop Holý, nejvlivnější husitský politik, na jehož vůli před rokem 1434 do značné míry závisel osud revolučních Čech. Porážka sesadila polní obce z postavení rozhodujícího politického činitele v zemi a umožnila umírněné straně uzavřít dohodu s císařem Zikmundem Lucemburským a legáty basilejského koncilu. Tím bitva předznamenala ukončení občanské války v zemích Koruny české.

Reconstruction of the Battle of Lipany from the perspective of a participant.
The Battle of Lipany took place in 1434 near the village of Lipany. The soldiers of the Utraquist-Catholic alliance led by Diviš Bořek of Miletínek defeated the field troops of the Orphan and Tabor alliance, which formed the backbone of the military forces of the radical wing of the Hussite movement. The leader of the radicals, Prokop Holý, the most influential Hussite politician on whose will the fate of revolutionary Bohemia depended to a large extent before 1434, also died during the fighting. The defeat deposed the field communes from the position of the decisive political actor in the country and allowed the moderate party to conclude an agreement with Emperor Sigismund of Luxembourg and the legates of the Council of Basel. This battle heralded the end of the civil war in the lands of the Bohemian Crown.
