- Today I visited Anfield home of Liverpool FC for a £1000 hospitality experience. From meeting former players, to the food to even the padded seats. Certainly an experience I’ll forever cherish and so grateful for!

Well said. Meanwhile LFC allows less local and working class fans in than even some of the smallest clubs in the Prem Lge. Tragic that LFC was taken over by American predators. They now want BILLIONS of pounds in profit on a sale. Enough to cover all the gate receipts and matchday revenue for every game for the next THIRTY NINE years. An epic swindle indeed.

I'm 57, followed lfc all my life. I had seasons tickets in the late 70s early 80s but when I joined the army had to give them up. Sadly there is no way I can afford to watch them anymore nor can the vast majority of working class families.
I get a hospitality ticket through work sometimes. That's the worst choice of food I've ever seen there. Like the way you appreciate out club though. I was sat 2 or 3 rows behind you here. Did you buy them tickets from a tout. If you insist on ever paying that much again go to the carlsberg dug out in the main stand.
Well done young man, a really good video. £1000 is a monster amount of money and I would have expected a 3 course dinner rather than a baked spud but you clearly enjoyed the experience so fair play to you.

the one in the main stand you get a 3 course meal, a gift bag ,free drinks all game can come 2 hours before and stay 3 hours after! anyway good video mate!

Happy birthday loved the video,as a Boro supporter Liverpool are my second team but for me Anfield has to be one of the best grounds in the country .On my first visit it was the last game of the season and Ian Rush last game for Liverpool ,the whole experience was amazing and to this day I still get goosebumps when I hear YNWA ,There's something magical about the Kop with all the flags waving I'm sure this experience will stay with you for life

I was about 10 yards from where Rushie's shirt landed in the Kop that game. There was one hell of a scramble for it.
LFC fan, going to two games this season, but just paid normal ticket price, only difference for me is the baked spud! Should be proper three course dinner for £1000!

Just came across this and am delighted I have. I've actually purchased a hospitality ticket for the Europa League round of 16 home game, think its in the same part of Anfield you were. Is it expensive? Absolutely yes. But its my one chance to see LFC before Klopp goes so in years to come that's all I'll remember. Hopefully a special season is going to be had.
And since I'm working here in north Syria, and Iraq, all my friends over here cant wait to see the photos. Up the Reds!!

but the hospitality seemed poor by LFC - Mellor and a magician and a spud with cheese and a few bottles of fizzy pop...could do better... a lot better...I am almost angry!!
last year I visited the new Spurs ground - a bamboo-type bowl with noodles or veg samosa (you could have as many as you wanted), a proper 3-course dinner, half-time snacks, and tea/coffee, a goody bag of snacks to take home after the game...drinks you had to pay for, but i chose sparkling water
I didn't want to meet some ex-players - Jennings, Ossie
I was about 3 levels up from ground level but each floor was just a massive food hall...clean, good lighting, well-done grub
I sat on the side seats and didn't have anyone stand up in front
I am a RED but i was impressed by Spurs...the stadium looks fantastic
anyway...back to peeling potatoes and turnips

That is realistically like a £100 experience inflated to £1000.
These tickets are £370 normally. Maybe 370 x 3 = £1000 in the title?

£1000 for a soft seat and a jacket 'tater? Jeez! I'm in corporate at Bramall Lane. Full meal, comfy seat, great guests and banter, and I get to see 5-8 goals every game 🙂 - all for less than £100 per match. Bargain.

A grand for a baked potato with beans, Liverpool is my home city and club I’ve always supported but this is daylight robbery, you should be getting a three course meal as part of the package for that. I’m disgusted at Liverpool FC for this actually.

Yeah, I agree. Just saying she said official reseller. Which the club says includes transport or accommodation or whatever. So not sure the headline tells exactly what they got. I'm sure it's overpriced anyway - that's football today.
But it's made memories for them so glad they had a good day and it was worth it for them.

If you really paid £1000 for your ticket then you were taken for a ride. The club were selling these tickets for £360 and approved resellers were selling them for sub £200 in the days leading up to the match.
I'm guessing £1k is for 3 seats in total, not just 1.
Mum here, it was £1,600 for the 3 of us from one of the clubs resellers as the club had sold out - the reseller added nearly £500 in admin charges. Should have waited till nearer the time but had booked the accommodation in Liverpool for the weekend and didn’t want to miss out on the match if sold out as family was paying for Marcus’s birthday.
Thanks for the reply, sorry yous had to pay that much for the experience, but worth every penny for the memories.

@@jayneskeet5969 I appreciate you won't always want to go the hospitality route (although for many, myself included, it's the only way to get tickets) but in future check out clubsportsandevents - they're an approved reseller and are offering these same tickets for the Luton game on Wednesday for just £165 per person without any admin fee (I guess you used Seatloader who take the mick with their admin fee). Higher profile games will obviously be a lot more but if you're flexible with which games you want to see, they're not a total rip off and often sell well below what the club charge themselves.

Seriously, you should try the corporate hospitality at Carrow Road. The dining, hospitality and match day experiences are excellent and at a fraction on the cost. Delia might not be the richest football club owner, but she sure does the hospitality bits well ! Try it out, you might get to meet your buddy Jon Rowe once again too.

Fecking madness to spend £1000 to watch any football team. I reckon Liverpool FC are taking the piss for that so called hospitality! In London, Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea take the piss with their prices especially at Tottenham. The insane sums of money some people spend on football leaves me asking the question how any ordinary working person can afford it all?

It's a shame that those hospitality tickets are really the only sure fire way to get into Anfield. I paid about 700 quid because I'm from the US and that's just the nature of things, I really wish there was a "Buy one exorbitant hospitality ticket and one general admission ticket is given to a local kid" type of program in play... As a visiting fan, I'd feel a lot better about being the reason a local fan gets to go.
