    Get the 12 inch version which is the 712 and you can gig with that. I used a pair of 712's with a subwoofer and it works out pretty good. I use this setup when I am going to play via bluetooth. I also own the 912's which are much louder and would compare to the QSC K12's.

    Hey Weiss! Great video.
    Need a new setup for event gigs this summer. Budget for speakers is Max 1300$. I guess versatility is important (small to medium sized events(100pax)). What speakers do you recommend?

      Glad you liked the video! If you can pony up another $200 a pair of QSC K8.2 at $1,500 is incredible! Next step down, a pair of QSC CP8's at $1,000 is my bargain of the PA World recommendation. Hope you have a sub:)

    Excellent reviews in your channels. For large sized events and ballrooms, which speaker would be great in addition to two Bose pro 32s, is JBL eon 710 or QSC cp8 good options. Thanks in advance.

    • @WWeiss-nv5vz
      @WWeiss-nv5vz  Před rokem +1

      QSC CP8 is noticeably louder than the JBL 710.
      Almost any top brand has cleaner highs than Bose which match up great with the Bose famous smooth midrange: QSC, RCF, JBL, EV, TurboSound. QSC and JBL have a 6 year warranty. Only Yamaha which has a similar midrange/mid bass and rolled off highs would not pair well with Bose.

      @@WWeiss-nv5vz I have heard JBL Eon 710s they sound nice but for my needs I need louder. I have F1s that I am selling and they sound incredible for the front and extra support at the back for larger ballrooms with more people. Most likely be replacing QSC k 8.2 for extra support with pro 32s on the front. Thanks for your advise.

    How does it sound against IP300 ?
    And when you use this speaker in bluetooth does it return bluetooth to the XLR output? (because the PRX one can do it)

    • @WWeiss-nv5vz
      @WWeiss-nv5vz  Před 2 lety

      iP300 has a noticeably better low end but if you are using a sub that advantage goes away. Playing by itself it has a more full range sound. iP300 has better dispersion at 120 degrees vs JBL 110 degrees. I can't hear the difference testing side by side in the home. Turbosound cleaner high end. JBL smoother mids, much better 8 band EQ. Both speakers = in max volume before clipping. Yes, JBL outputs Bluetooth signal through the XLR output! I think the JBL has a 7 year warranty vs 3 years for Turbosound?? A little bit more $$$ the RCF HD10 is supposed to be excellent. I don't know, never heard it.

    Hi Weiss, thank you for answering my Bose S1 pro and L1 compact combo question in other video.
    I got one Bose S1 pro and thinking of getting another speaker for karaoke. Do you think getting an eon 612 or a 712 is better than getting a L1 compact? I don’t take them to anywhere so portability is not really an issue. Thanks

    • @WWeiss-nv5vz
      @WWeiss-nv5vz  Před 2 lety

      Only if you need more than the max113dB the Compact can put out. S1 Pro can't go over 100dB so the more powerful speaker would have to be turned down anyway. The JBLs are voiced very similar to the S1Pro so you won't be gaining much and you will still have the original problem of lack of bass. Compact will give you some of that missing bass. For the same price of the Compact I would purchase a Bose Sub1 to pair with your S1. You will then experience REAL subwoofer BASS!

      @@Goforit8866 Not sure your total budget? Many people use a single Bose Pro8 or EV30m for Karaoke. Yamaha DBR10 has a smoother midrange and slightly better bass. Less money! All of these type of speakers NEED a subwoofer if you want any bass. Yamaha is an older design with no Bluetooth App. If weight isn't a factor, for slightly more money you can look at JBL Eon712 or 715. Yamaha makes the DBR15. Check out this video: czcams.com/video/cU6eQQuavjI/video.html

    Here in Australia, 2x eon710 cost $1800, 2x DBR10 cost $1300, and one bose L1 pro 8 cost $1760. Does a single pro 8 comparable to two Yamahas in terms of rich highs and mids in a 40sqm room, or is it not even close?

    • @WWeiss-nv5vz
      @WWeiss-nv5vz  Před 2 lety +1

      First any of these choices will be incredible: You have to decide do you want two speakers. Two speakers gives that natural stereo effect our ears are used to. Any single column speaker like the Pro 8 will not have the true stereo effect. Even my $3,300 Pro32 benefits from a second speaker! Two speakers gives more volume but I don't think that applies to you. I don't know much about Karaoke. I'm assuming singing to backing tracks would benefit from a good low end. In that case a single JBL Eon710 over a Bose Sub1 will outperform a Bose Pro8. In the future you can get the second 710. JBL has an excellent EQ section the Yamaha and Bose lack. You can really dial in the sound you prefer. But JBL lacks the smooth mids of the Yamaha or Bose. No one speaker does it all. You have to decide what sound signature is most important to you.

QSC older tech- no Bluetooth, no App which means no future updates. 710 is new with not much history as far as reliability, QSC is know to be bullet proof for gigging pros. You might prefer JBL because the 10" woofer will give you more of the low/mids you said you were looking for and again with the 8 band EQ you can adjust the sound to your liking/room. Both lack low end and need a sub.
