Yeah my sonic is edition number 122 and it’s my first one. Chuffed to bits with it. I was one of the lucky ones to grab one of the 11th doctors sonics on pre order so I can’t wait for that. Great vid as always my man 👊
That's fantastic dude! Congrats on getting your first sonic screwdriver replica. And getting an 11th doctor's sonic screwdriver on pre-order that's brilliant. Enjoy your new sonics man, and thanks for watching the video! 😎
The fact that it jingles as you move it around like in the show. Goddamn thats nice!
I completely agree! I think the rattling adds an extra touch of authenticity and nostalgia to it aha 😅😉
@@ryanmassey1441 Yeah they are very pricey but they usually keep their value so just think of it as more of an investment than anything aha
Just got mine in the mail today and, while I've never been a huge fan of this variant, it's absolutely gorgeous. A lovely late Christmas gift for myself.
It's wonderful that you're enjoying this variant, even though it wasn't your favorite before. It definitely grew on me too, it’s not my favourite variant but I do like it! I hope you enjoy your new Sonic Screwdriver! 😁
Great video, as always, lovely breakdown and it was really interesting to see the Rubbertoe against the LSP version.
I missed out on the LSP as only started collecting in the past 6 months, so great to see them side by side. I was pleased to get mine as well.
Again, really enjoyed your video breakdown, many thanks, 👏👍🙂
James
Hi James, thank you watching! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and found the comparison interesting. It's always exciting to see different versions of collectibles side by side. I'm glad you were able to grab one of these beautys. Thanks again for your support dude & I hope you enjoy your Sonic Screwdriver! 😎🤘
ooo, I’ve been excited for this one, sad as it sounds 😭
Me too! I’ve been waiting ever since I saw it was available on rubbertoe replicas website 😂
@@SameSonicDifferentCase LSP literally just released another pre-order run for more Grey Aztecs (my favourite variant of all of them) and I’ve never spent that much so fast 😭.
Can’t wait to see how you react to your one from the initial run. I’ll have to wait until Autumn but future me will be so glad I did!
Great video mate, will you be doing one on the 14th doctor rubbertoe sonic?
Got mine over a week ago now. My first 9th sonic and I love it. Great video bud
Thanks for watching man! I'm glad you're enjoying your Sonic Screwdriver. It's always exciting to get your hands on a new collectible! 😎
@@SameSonicDifferentCase can't wait for rubbertoe to release the 15th sonic screwdriver even though it doesn't look like a screwdriver 🤣
@@youraveragedillon5958 Yeah it's definitely an interesting one! Even though it doesn't resemble a traditional sonic screwdriver, I'm eager to see the functionality it'll offer. 🤷🏻♂😂
I really wish I had that, the 9th Doctor was fantastic, absolutely fantastic. I'm just not sure if or where in Canada I could get it
I like the 10th mainly because I grew up with him 2006-2024
The Tin looks like it would be a cool TARDIS exterior. I might model that Tin to make it as an exterior and make my own tardis interior in blender
Yeah to be fair the tin does sort of resemble the TARDIS when it doesn't have the chameleon circuit switched on aha.
That sounds like it'd be fun project, I'm sure it will turn out great! Good luck with your creation dude 🤘
@@SameSonicDifferentCase yeah it's like the hell bent default exterior but better
Awesome video man, I got number 160 and my certificate wasn’t signed either so it’s not just you
Thanks for watching mate and that’s good to know cheers! I guess Nick couldn’t be bothered signing 300 cards and 300 bases this time aha
@@SameSonicDifferentCase yeah that would annoy me to the point I’d start writing horrible messages on the cards😂, also I think he’s got a couple more variants of 9 and 10’s sonic in mind coming shortly so better break the trend of signing now aha
You got number 3? Nice! I got number 2 😊
@@SameSonicDifferentCase Haha 😂 Great review btw. Mine is quieter than I expected, around the same volume as the RR 12th. Love it though!
@@Beymaster7 Thanks mate & thanks for watching! I think the volume on this one is pretty decent to be fair, especially when compared to the original Rubbertoe Tenth that thing is so loud it's actually annoying aha 😉😂
@@SameSonicDifferentCase Oh yeah I definitely agree, that one's too loud lol. Mine is much brighter than I expected which is great 😁
@@Beymaster7 I'm glad you're happy with yours! I heard a few people had some quality control issues with theirs which is a shame, I guess we're some of the lucky ones 😉
are the sound chips accurate to the show? i might want to get a series 4
As far as I'm aware Little Shop Props prodived the sound file for these replicas to Rubbertoe.
The sound file used on these replicas is a Series 1-2 Sound which is accurate to this version of the prop yes.
So with the Cream Series 4 Variant they should be using a new sound file that'll be accurate to the Series 4 sonic sound.
Little Shop Props are currently working on a batch of Tri-Sliders ( Series 3 Sonic Screwdrivers) and the sound file used on those replicas is a Series 3 sonic sound.
So basicallly if Little Shop Props have anything to do with it then yes it'll be an accurate sound file in the Cream Series 4 Sonic Screwdriver 😉😎
why was it called aztec? i never understood why they named it that
The company who made the original props were called Aztec Model Makers.
If you’re interested in more information on the props this PDF is fantastic it pretty much explains everything on these props www.kasterborous.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/ebooks/rtd-sonic-history-november-2021.pdf
Which episodes have the wide slider sonic appeared
It’s first appearance was in Series 1 Episode 2 'The End of the World' and it was used all throughout Series 1 & 2 alongside the Grey Aztec Sonic Screwdriver Prop.
We get a good look at it in 'Bad Wolf' when the Doctor is in the Big Brother house and in 'Doomsday' when the Doctor slides it up and explodes the doors. But yeah basically anytime the Doctor slides up the Sonic Screwdriver in Series 1 & 2 it would have been the Wide Slider Aztec Prop 😎
Do you think I should order this one or the series 4 10th doctor sonic?
The Wide Slider is fantastic but if it’s one or the other, personally I’d say go for the Series 4 Cream as I think the overall quality of that one will be better than this version. 😎
How much dose one of those go far?
@@SameSonicDifferentCase Bruh 800£ is like a bit over a thousand dollars Canadian
@@The_Blue_Otaku Yes they are very pricey little things but they usually keep their value so I like to think of them as more of an investment than anything aha 🥲🤣
How much does it cost and where do u buy it? Just curious
Never mind I just looked in description for link and £650 is way to expensive for me to spend on this….. still good quality for price
Looks like delivery has already been completed. I haven't received a tracking number yet.😢😢
Well there’s 300 of them being made in total so it is possible that yours may have not been dispatched yet.
It just depends on which number of Sonic Screwdriver you have.
I ordered one as soon as they became available and mine is number 3 so it was within the first batch of Sonic Screwdrivers to be dispatched.
If yours is a higher number it’s probably just not been dispatched yet, but I’ve heard that all of them have been completed & assembled so it should be dispatched sometime soon if it hasn’t already, just keep an eye out for the tracking information 👍
@@SameSonicDifferentCase My one is No.111, but I have not received the tracking yet ..🥲🥲 UK is in year end holiday?
I never got a tracking number either. I was lucky I was home when it was delivered or I would have missed it
do my ears only hear the background music when it reaches the middle 8, or is my brain just playing tricks on me
for as expensive as the sonic is, the "tin" surely is a slap on the face 😂
I agree in some aspect, like this isn't the best packaging that we've had from Rubbertoe but it's not the worst either, the Laser Screwdriver was far more expensive than this and that came in a cardboard tube aha so I'd say this is a step back in the right direction. Ultimately, the quality of the Sonic Screwdriver itself is what i focus on, as the packaging usually ends up stored away 😉
I want to order the cream series 4, but it says £390, but it says underneath its £690 can someone help. These things are pricey... Great video ❤
Sorry this is a bit late, but I think it means that the pre order price is half being around £360 and the full price is £650
I got number 8. Lucky i was home because i never got a tracking number
Lucky Number 8! That's great, I hope you love it! 😎 Yes I had to go digging through my emails to find mine, usually they come straight up 🤷🏻♂
Yes I do love it! First one from them. Also have the 11th on pre-order. Got one before they were gone
@@mpiscitelli5 That is awesome dude, I really hope you enjoy them both! But also be careful aha it's an expensive hobby and very addictive aha, next thing you know you'll be ordering the Series 4 Cream Variant 😉
Oh yea I totally think I'm getting that one too lol. I finally have money for these things. Been looking at them for years
@@mpiscitelli5 Ah well that’s brilliant mate, congrats! You gotta catch em all now 😉😂
I wish I where rich to afford so many sonic lol
I’m not rich unfortunately I have to work a lot to be able to afford this many sonics and then I can’t afford anything else afterwards aha 😉😂
@@SameSonicDifferentCaseWell you’re making a lot of people happy with these videos, just so you know.
Great video and channel, just make sure to not go on to murder someone please.
Thanks for watching! 😊I appreciate your support. No worries aha, I'm here to spread positive vibes and share interesting content 🌟👍
I just ordered mine while the video was playing. So can't wait for it to get here. Always been a fan of the 9th/10th sonic. Will be a great addition to my collection.
That's great to hear man! The Ninth/Tenth Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver is definitely a fan-favorite. I'm sure you'll love having it in your collection. I hope you enjoy exploring the wonders of time and space with your new sonic screwdriver dude! Thanks for watching 🤙
