Merry Christmas, Wes and Kate! My boyfriend and I have actually been tuning in since about the time that you filmed this video (during the Gulf Stream Crossing upload). Thank you so much for your dedication to this craft. We're definitely keeping you in our thoughts and prayers and hoping that all of your sailing wishes come true this next year! Cheers!
+Alexandra Russom That's amazing thanks so much for following along! Working hard to make our cruising dreams happen :) Don't worry we're taking everyone along the way!
I never lost interest! Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁🎅❄🌞
These have the wonderful feel of director's cut..
Happy holidays --- note to Wicked Salt, next time you are sailing.. put on the santa hats and record a little christmas message for this time of the year video
I think watching your videos has become an addiction, I wait staring at my phone every Wednesday like I'm waiting for my next hit haha
+Miss Lone Star's Travels oh man that is awesome! that's what I want to do too, been trying to convince my wife it's the right choice is half if not all the battle. I've seen a few of your videos, I'm going to have to see the rest!
Best sailing-lifestyle-travel videos on youtube by far. Great people. Great places.
Been there, done that waaay back in 2002. Thanks for bringing back those great memories. Be safe!
Happy Holidays to the three of you, where ever you might be.
Have fun and stay safe.
Peace to all.
Just walked out of a house full of family here for Christmas to watch you post. Land locked here in Austin Texas!
Good to hear the salty music again
All I want for Christmas is a Wicked Salty T-Shirt! Where can I get one?! Haha. Love the videos! I've been watching for a very long time, and can't wait to see what kind've boat you get next, and adventures you all go on next! Keep up the amazing work!!! :)
Your video brings back fond memories. I cruised the Abacos in the late seventies and early eighties. Pete's was a once per month gathering on Pete's father' patio. The only restaurants were the Conch Crawl and the Conch Inn. Wally's cam shortly thereafter. It was a great time to cruise the island; undeveloped and fraternal. Best wishes.
I LOVE it ...now i know where you got it from !!! SAIL ON Brother !!!
Always liked freedom yachts..
thanks for sharing.
You guys always put up sweet videos. Love watching! Thanks for your patience during those super long uploads lol
I Love these videos with a little of everything some sailing and some touring of the islands, keep em coming:)
The Abacos are the best kept secret. I LIVED on Great Stirrup in 1981. That and little Stirrup were awesome. I saw a moray eel off Goat Cay almost SIX FEET LONG. It was a monster!!! He actually came out and chased us out of his territory. Amazing...and very scary at the time.
That sounds amazing! It would be incredible to see one of those in the Abacos. Gotta get back out there!
+Wicked Salty
Maybe. I cant say it was a super fond memory. We were swimming backwards thru cloudy (brown and yellow) water.
Morays NEVER come out of their holes and aggressively chase off humans...unless they be monsters like this guy.
We realized later that he was just protecting his territory. We were not in an arguing mood.
It was one of my most unique experiences.
The other was being attacked by a quite aggressive BULL shark in Shark Bay (of all places) in St John. I lived in the Eastern Caribbean full time on my 1907 Gaff rigged yawl for 15 years,..St Barts, BVI, USVI and St Maarten.
Great dancing in the end. The internet connection seems to be the same as here. Even though I would rather upload things in the Bahamas than in the rainy German countryside :)
-Thomas
+Two aboard Tuuli It can be difficult even with the nice weather and things to do rather than uploading on the computer! At least with rain I dont feel guilty! ;)
Fantastic, love your videos, cannot wait till you get back on the water!
It's cool watching your videos and seeing you both smile and having fun.
Have a great Christmas and here's to great adventures in the New Year! : )
Hahahh the ending was priceless!
I am soooooooooo jealous. Will become a patron. Stop in Savannah at the Yacht Club, on your way back. Happy New Year....................B safe kids.......
You need to wait until the sea grapes turn a dark purple before you eat them, but they are actually very flavorful!
So sad to think that most of these placs are no more!😰
Pray for the Abacos!!!
Okay, I get it. get some beer in Wes, and he'll light up the karoke stage. Heh heh heh heh.🎶🔉🔊🎤
I just got back from a sailing trip down in The Abacos. We chartered out of Marsh Harbour and ate at Snappas just last night. Hope Town was my favorite stop, settlement harbour on Guana Cay was my next favorite. Treasure Cay beach was spectacular too. You ever check out Man O War Cay while you were there? The channel into there was pretty crazy.
Hope everything works out well with the boat situation, have a good one if you can!
You are living the dream! Sure the F**k beats waiting tables!!!! Keep the videos coming. I'm hooked!
Lovin it. You know your doing a great job when the viewer is left wanting more but knowing they have to wait till next week.
We got off our boat planning only 4 months it's been 15 but we are now getting back on board over the next 4 weeks. Can't wait for the news of you selling parody and buying your new boat. IMHO you might want to think about what you must to have to cruise and not camp. Maybe a few upgrades will get what you guys need. It's what we are doing with a 14 month old baby coming on board. Like always looking forward to next Wednesday already.
+Hellava Life It's the not-camping thing that really make's it easier to permanently live aboard because I can tell you it was just that when we we're out there! Saw so many people with just a slight step up which really made me think of the possibilities. The first time around you just gotta make it happen and go for it! Good luck I hope the best to your family
Your videos always put a smile on my face. You guys are awesome :)
Man...this hurt me to know that Abaco used to be so beautiful before Hurricane Dorian passed through and ravaged...one of the most beautiful islands in the Bahamas....
Great Harbor has the best Cracked Conch meal in the world. Hands down!
I actually like Grabber's frozen drink the best.....Strongest drink anywhere and you wont know it until 20 minutes later after you have had 2-3 drinks (lol). Grabbers Abaco bar drink is the best! kidds Cove was my favorite bar....A little outside tiki shack right downtown. You get there at 10:30 am and watch all the people walking by to go to Nipper's, then at 4:30 pm you watch them all stumble right by you going back to the Ferry on Sunday......Grabbers was over rated for me, but fun....
+John Ahern You gotta hit them all up when you're on great guana cay that's for sure. It's a tropical beach pub crawl, not much better than that!
Kate looks wild in this thumbnail
A very Merry Christmas to you!
Yo I went to abacos last year with my friend fuckboy jack and every where you you went we were there! Sounds like you guys are living the life! I hope to sail down to little harbor and marsh harbor sometime soon. Good luck!
I enjoy all your vids!
Merry Christmas from Prince Edward Island, Canada - Bryan
"The beach looks like it's rippin' today..."
merry Christmas guys
All I want for Christmas is the chance to buy a wicked salty tshirts
+Peter Cartert It's going to happen really soon. I wanted to get the Patron's T-shirts first before moving on with more. Expect the next round of T-shirts to be available for everyone around the first weeks of January :)
Oh, I wanna get salty! :D
You hitted right that beggining, nice mix of music and shots. I am right there with you, got the feeling!
Weeks always seem to come around a little faster when you wait for WSW
Man... That crazy mods kid looks strikingly like a goonie. Jeff Cohen reincarnated.
OOOOHHHHHHH!!!! Conch salad
Man, I'm missing the bahamas...how can we figure out getting back there sooner rather than later?
Wes, hope all is well. Your voice over sounds a little different. Not quite as chipper as your voice while cruising. Merry Christmas to you and Kate. Can't wait for season 2! Cheers, Ted
Huge fan of your videos, I'm hoping to do the same as you guys once I graduate from college! How much does it cost per month to live on the boat?
Ha that kid stole my name!
What was the guy doing when he hit you in the mouth? Looked like he was trying to... Hit you in the mouth! Lol merry Christmas.
Thank goodness it's wsw
I guess I was edited out of the video. Lol
+Chris Taylor That was your voice at the beginning it was all that I had. Remember that I was filming all of that with that black point and shoot at the bar in between Nipper's and Grabber's? All that footage with all the travel from Eleuthera commentary... GONE!
Do a fishing episode
ps. My 9 year old CHarlie knows crazy Modz who has over 3.5 million views. LMAO. have him link ya in!
Why is your logo in what looks like Arabic script?
It is definitely english calligraphy inspired. I guess that is just your interpretation.
That's cool. I would not mind if it was. I was curious.
No one else has asked? Wow. I will disregard my interpretation based on your reply.
I hope you understand why I asked.
scripts.sil.org/cms/sites/nrsi/media/ABSsample_LateefReg.png
This is a link for typical Arab script. Yours looks not like a copy, but a stylized representation. But what ever. I like your videos and music choices. I have a lifetime of amateur r and professional Maritime experience. Estimated 200,000 ocean miles.
My first boat was a 37" Gaff rigged yawl I bought in St Barts in 1982. Lived and worked in the Caribbean for 15 years and world wide after that.
I was most happy by investing in a VERY nice tender. That thing was a mini speed boat that brought me as much fun as my live aboard sailboat. 11.5' Zodiac with a 15hp Evenrude. I used my topping lift to hoist it aboard. It by luck alone fit perfectly upside down fully inflated over my midships sky light.
It served as a car that not only could take me from bay to bay, but actually to other islands. It would plane and go VERY fast with that light weight 2 stroke 15hp motor.
Today, the semi rigids are pretty cool too. Lots to be said for them. The deeper the V entry on the hull, the better the ride.
Just saying when you move up in yacht size, tender size is much much more rewarding than you can possibly imagine.
Just replying to the question, haha you're the first to say I think. It's just stylized english typography not listening to many rules in writing. Dinghy will be our top priority this next time around, this past trip was kind of a do as much with, and for less. Sacrificed a lot of comforts but it was an incredible experience. Love the gaff rigged boats, they are very classic and beautiful.
The "S" is a fish and the "Y" is a hook, may be a little hard to see but I like how discreet it can be yet not once you see it.
Wicked Salty
Ohhh. I definitely see the fish. Less so for the hook. Gotcha.
NOW...everything makes sense. Thank you.
Nice scenery guys but holy crap, you have to slow down the camera pan so that the scene is actually visable. This is terrible to watch between shaking and high speed. I had a headache in 3 minutes.
+Robert Applegate Drink some water! Most headaches are caused from dehydration.
Your so cute I want to live life your way but I'm stuck I refuse till I can do it right washer dryer central heat air I need to hit the lottery
Relly? I can't stand I eny more I'll buy you a new motor where you at I'll order it you pick it up
Always enjoy your videos. I am a 70 year old who wishes I had been so adventurous when I was your age. You two are doing it right. Merry Christmas and look forward to more adventures.
