I had 3 Mercury News morning routes from 1971 to 1975. I can remember cruising around in one of those orange step vans with my manager, Jim, delivering shorts. He would then treat to breakfast at Jack in the Box. All my routes started with 437-, Santa Clara Routes, Winchester, Newhall, Saratoga Ave, Bellomy St. etc. Also Jim Geiger of The San Jose Mercury was a tutor to me in 4th grade in Algebra. God those were the good old days!
