  • Today we visit my mother's childhood home right next to the synagogue. Jeruzalémská Synagoga, situated in Prague, Czech Republic, stands as a remarkable testament to Jewish heritage and architectural splendor. Designed by Wilhelm Stiassny and built in 1906, this synagogue is a stunning example of the Moorish Revival style, adorned with intricate geometric patterns, vibrant colors, and ornate detailing throughout. Its grand dome, soaring arches, and elaborate interiors create an atmosphere of reverence and awe. Despite facing turbulent times in history, including damage during World War II, Jeruzalémská Synagoga has been meticulously restored to its former glory, serving as a cherished symbol of resilience and cultural heritage in the heart of Prague.
