Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show, I'm your host Paul and this video we're breaking down The Boys.

The brand new episode has just release and we're almost at the season 4 finale. Throughout this video we're gonna break it all down and talk about the easter eggs and callbacks to the comics. I also wanna give a big theory time and go over where I think things are gonna go. With that out the way, thank you for clicking this, now let's get into the boys.

Now we start off with the Avenue V Christmas special. First introduced during Gen V this puppet show a parody of Sesame Street and Avenue Q.
Originally hosted by Jason Ritter, Ryans now here for the Christmas special. The show being set during Christmas has been shown to us before as we had Vought Ice with a Christmas themed song.
This specials getting filmed for V Kids and it indoctrinates the youth from a young age.
This entire show is basically about training kids to snitch on certain people in society. This segment is for those suspected as being part of Antifa. Its sort of playing on the red scare with it being an updated version of McCarthyism. Antifa is obviously a big talking point in real life too with it being an easy way to lump people intogether under one mindstate to drive fear. Not to both sides it...

Every time Homelander is on the scene feels like someone is going to die.
Actually is like a fun trivia, Homelander has actually killed at least one person intentionally or unintentionally (like in the ice palace) in every episode of this season.
And I should check if this was actually a trend carried out in previous seasons too

noir's narcolepsy likely isn't a plot point but is instead just an easter egg, its a reference to the actors own narcolepsy, he apparently has a habit of falling asleep on set
He also mentioned it earlier in the season when Homelander was talking to him
It was hilarious when he passed out, I was like does he have narcolepsy?? Then butcher said it 😂😂

I always feel like the actor who plays a train was so good. He’s so subtle in his performance but it really sells his character.

Deep is supremely underrated as an actor being able to pull off this absurd character and do it in a way that makes you laugh and shock you without ruining the seriousness of the drama. Show wouldn’t be the same without him
Deep has been shown to be pretty damn strong and quite durable. I'm interested to see what finally takes him out. Too bad the way the show/comic is written, we never actually explore what Deep is capable of while out in the oceans. Perhaps they are saving a few oceanic scenes for the finale. Would be fun to see him commanding the sea creatures during a final push sequence late in the last season.

Shape shifting is one thing but shape shifting while possessing every single knowledge of the individual you shape shift into is another.
Right. I've always wondered how did the assasin knew all the details prior to the kidnapping between Annie and Hughie. Either it's in one of their powerset or Sage had bugged the place beforehand.
@@nudgeone7927If you rewatch you’ll see that Hughie goes in the safe in view of Annie who was video calling her mom. Annie also says that she’s been calling her mom for a while with no answer until then. I think her mother had been compromised and that it was the shape shifter pretending to be her mom on that call and saw hughie putting in the code in the safe while talking with Annie. Then shape shifted as Annie to get access to their apartment and get the computer (since they already knew where it was and the code).
@@nudgeone7927Kripke who created the Boys show also created Supernatural. In Supernatural, shapeshifters take on more than just the appearance, they share a telepathic link to the person they’re impersonating which allows them to access memories. The telepathic link needs the person to be alive though.
Being a telepath who can read minds and seek out memories within the mind is an old concept in comics/Hollywood. By that, I'm simply saying it's not farfetched if she can take both the form and the mind of an individual. Just imagine Mystique having Professor X's ability to read people's minds. Perhaps that's a close comparison here.

I think Homelander has to be one of the best on screen villains of all time. The directors have done an incredible job with him. In the beginning you were anxious when he was on screen, but now I worry about him even when he isn’t even around.
Up there with Lorne Malvo from Fargo.

The shifter had to make physical contact with the person to mimic their appearance, and they typically shed their former appearance after having done so too, especially if they had to make a quick escape. The disgust on the face of the ppl chasing them when they see the shifter's skin is even the same.

I'm absolutely loving atrain and mother milks stories rn! I'm rooting so much for atrain and seeing him get out of the grips of evil even though I am also very scared for his life. I thought for sure in the scene when attain goes to Ashley to leave that homelander would be right outside the door listening the whole time. I was scared for him but I am so hyped to see him help the boys. That fight against noir and deep was awesome and atrain is what the team needs

I work in a bar. While it's mostly sports or movies playing, during the holidays especially they play those old classic stop motion christmas movies every year, and in the same vain as Avenue V, I have indeed played a Muppets Christmas at the bar at 1am to a dozen nostalgic drunk adults

Kimiko doesn't speak not because that's what they trained her to do, but rather after her first fight and killing the girl whilst being completely silent, when she was allowed to speak, she couldn't. I would expect her vocal cords to completely lose muscle and her just not even being physically able to speak by now. However, she does heal herself, so maybe she is able to heal her vocal cords as well, lets see..
I previously heard in a leak that Starlight would lose her fight against the Deep. Glad that wasn’t true and she got to kick his ass.

I think by the last ep kesler will take over butcher's body the way he smiles at the end when butcher colapse meaning butcher is weak enough now for kesler to fully take over and in turn will finally see what his new power is or how did he kill isikiel

Accepting your theory, what would be the reason the shapeshifter would use the V on his Dad? I can't think of one, unless it was to make sure the V couldn't be used later by the Boys. But it could just be disposed of otherwise without suspicion of her, so using it on him doesn't track for me.

The way the shape shifter uses his power is amazing
I think the shapeshifter will reveal the dirt the Boys have on Victoria. Since the shapeshifter works for Sage, and Sage wants to create chaos as revenge for being ignored by everyone. Releasing the information on Victoria would be a catalyst to more conflict between the boys and vought.
This is just a loose take btw wanted to speculate other theories 😅

Worth considering… Regarding Sage’s motivation, the story she shared with Victoria at the party detailing the loss of family be the doctors belittled her findings… If those were physicians at a Vought funded hospital, where profits over people may as well be a motto, this might have sparked and fueled an underlying desire to bring the company down. John’s… I mean Homelander’s invitation may have been the opportunity she needed to do so from the inside…
WOOOH i just finished the episode just on time.
This is one of the best episodes of television I’ve ever seen. Just wow. Perfect. This season has been really impressive to me. A-Train was amazing, Deep and Noir were HILARIOUS with their “bro” moments, having Frenchie back was great, Kimiko was great as usual but that final scene with Starlight really shocked tf outta me. I’d say Hughie had the least to do this episode.
I think they are going to frame Starlight as the assassin and have the shapeshifter try and kill the president as Starlight.
The new shapeshifter also knew Starlights safe combo, so there's some potential there that when she touches someone she gets info from them, not just the ability to be ome them. Based on that, it's possible Daphne is also the shapeshifter.
When MM started shooting Noir Noir was just about to say the word Mf. And I think MM shooting him was like saying “that’s my line”
Predictions for next week:
Since the episode is called assassination run I think there will be a two way assassination attempt.
A-train will be given the virus injection to assassinate Homelander.
Meanwhile Shapeshifter starlight will be doing her own assassination on the president.
A-train and Homelander will get into a fight.
I think A-train will nearly have his chance to take out Homelander with the virus.
But I believe just before he gets the chance to defeat Homelander, he’ll find out about shapeshifter starlight’s assassination attempt.
I believe he will then prevent the assassination by injecting the shapeshifter with the virus.
I think MM will have something to do with the reason he makes this choice though.
After A-train prevents the assassination I believe Homelander will laser him down. This will probably be in-front of an audience who have just witnessed A-train save the president only to be murdered by Homelander. This will either cause a civil war or cause Homelander to go scorched earth dictatorial with nothing to loose ready for season 5.
I think they’ll do a repeat of the Maeve thing where they want to give the A-train a meaningful sacrifice without actually killing Homelander.
Otherwise I think MM is in danger this next episode the family stuff seems very foreshadowing. He’ll either get a happy ending due to A-train’s sacrifice or die this episode. I think they’ve been building the A-train MM relationship up and something will come out of that.
Also I think Butcher might do what he did to Ezekiel to a few people in that pub he collapsed in.
When the A train puppet fell over, I 100% thought he wouldn't make it to the end of the episode.

I was thinking more in line of The Supernatural's Shifters. I mean shapeshifter if you thinking about it would make sense since the show created by Eric Kripke [showrunner of The Boys].
