  • James first came to Medjugorje to visit his son who at the time lived in the Community Cenacolo. His first experience of going up the Apparition hill was a special experience because James helped the young men from Cenacolo carry a disabled person to the spot of the first apparition of Our Lady in Medjugorje. During his time here, James met several pilgrims who have experienced miraculous healing in Medjugorje. Listen to his testimony for the Fruits of Medjugorje series to find out how Medjugorje affect the journey of his faith.

My mother arrived in medjugorje late at night and she wanted to go to the apparition hill. She was clueless where the apparition hill was and at the door step there was a dog. The dog started walking so my mom followed the dog. The dog led her to the apparition hill and it waited for her until she was done and it led her back to her room where she was staying.

Is that a miracle? I doubt it ever happened. It's not the kind of miracles from The Gospel where Jesus healed the incurable, brought back to life the dead and expelled demons from the possessed, including Mary Magdalene. But your miracle is more of the Disney kind like something from 101 Dalmatians.

A dog appeared to them out of the nowhere they decided to follow him and he lead them. They told this story to everyone, how they where able to go up the hill to the cross thanks to a dog.🐶

@@jaydominic9633Because of faulty translations from the original Polish, St. Faustina Kowalska’s writings were considered doctrinally suspect, and so the Holy See suppressed the Divine Mercy devotion arising from those writings for about twenty years. Once the translations were corrected, the ban was lifted. The reversal of the suppression depended heavily upon the work of the Cardinal Archbishop of Krakow (Poland); the same year that the suppression was lifted (1978), that cardinal was elected pope and took the name John Paul II.

The sense of total brotherhood and peace on Earth one feels while in that holy city with all it's grace-filled residents is incredible. The whole city lives to serve the world population who flock there: Hotel hosts, families and workers, taxi drivers, shop and restaurant workers, town maintenance staff, church helpers and ministers, priests, nuns and volunteers. For two generations now!! God bless them all!! Jesus, I Trust in You. Mary, Queen of Peace, please pray for our sick world and bring us closer to your Son.

      24. MIRACLES
Miracles are something God sends to us
When He is seeking to win over our trust.
For miracles are things we cannot explain
They are sent to us for our thoughts to entertain.
In thinking about what has just happen
It creates the space for our minds to open.
In opening up our minds to see
We allow the opportunity for God to be.
For when there is no Earthly reason why
We must seek the answer from beyond the sky.
When our thoughts do Heavenly go
It provides us the opportunity to grow.
To grow in good and Godly thoughts
Will open and warm the coldest of hearts.
Each miracles is a part of God’s plan
To release the stubbornness inside of man.

We give God the opportunity to be...

The bus left Croatia and throughout the night collects people standing on the wayside, so it was every few kilometres stop and start: until we enter another country BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA, and stop at the border patrol:
Medjugorje is a village like any village in the world: The difference is: each of will be touched supernaturally by God's power: whether it happens in Medjugorje or when you return home:
Each supernatural gift is experienced differently by each individual: And you don't know what and when you will receive this supernatural gift.
First time l come there l dIdnt know what l w as doing there or what l was looking for: We basically follow what we want to do on the day we arrive,m and also on the following days: l just wandered about the area of the village..l have asked myself whilst there! what am l doing here?
Before coming to Medjugorje all l felt l had an urge to go there: and l followed that urge: l even forgot my passport at
home in Croatia: l began to worry, the border guards won't let you in: l knew that, that's world wide law: upon realising this, first panic!, then prayer: l asked Our Lady to help me pass through.... the guards allowed our group bus through without stopping us, but the bus before ours and the bus behind ours were stopped: same thing happened on the way back home.
Upon arrival l decided to walk up Mt. KRIŽEVAC: that's the Mountain of the Cross: it's a tall Cross made of concrete and to get to it you need to walk uphill, about 1 and half hrs up, and back down same amount of time:
Some hrs after we hopped on our bus as we were taken by bus to our hotel:
Iin the bus l became sick and nauseous, l ended up with an empty plastic shopping in my hand, l don't know where from, and vomited up matter from my tummy halfway full in the plastic bag full???? I looked with horror at the large quantity, I could NOT BELIEVE WHERE ALL THIS STUFF FITTED IN MY STOMACH: then l continued to be sicker and nauseated in the hotel room and couldn't get out of bed. Sick all night also, no relief, none!
Next day was Sunday: no Mass sick. I started to worry, l will not make it back home on the bus: big worry: l was a long way from home:
I don't know what happened, but just before the bus was loading the passengers, l got out of bed and went and saw the passengers boarding, l quickly stuffed my small amount of belongings into my case, and got on the bus sat down
and remained quiet. At this time l'm asking myself how could l have done this?? 10 minutes ,ago l couldn't get out of bed:
Bus began to drive, and l start to say to myself, what's happening, how come l'm sitting up and l'm realising and saying to myself l'm feeling better, yes, yes, l must be getting better:
As the bus drove and on, l get better and better, until l'm more alert and social with the other passengers! Thinking this is a dream??
***** We had a microphone passed round by our bus guide: she asked people to tell us their life experiences:
One by one these people started to tell us in Croatian about their personal lives:
when these people spoke so poignantly and calmly how some of the horrors and of their life situations are, and what they have to do to live daily through their experiences.
I listened and listened to each person : then something weird happened and l got a thought "" this is Medjugorje "...
these people are living daily Medjugorje:
They came to be nourished by the fruits of Medjugorje: whether they believe in Medjugorje or not, l don't know.
They had an urge and they followed the Divine urge, to take the risk and pay the money and go there because Our Mother urged them:
Most of my Croatian people haven't the time nor the money to pay for this trip:
I experienced Medjugorje in that bus on the way back home: the raw suffering of those people, l listened to their crosses. Here they sit in front of me, behind me and each one tells their story, they don't want compassion, they are not ashamed, they just want to tell their story and let it be heard. I compared my life to thiers: l should never complain about my life: there is no comparison!!
I remember the experience, it has never left me: so much value!!
****** TO finish my story, l arrived back home at mum and dad's house: in the morning l got out of bed and went outside into the garden; l had an explosion in my head: as though a corkscrew had been unscrewed and all this pressure like, when a champagne bottle had been opened and all that fizz and explosion came out of my head.
This experience has not left me, l still remember it clearly today.
What happened, l had been suffering with debilitating "migraines " for a long, long time: and there was no cure.
l had tried many, many remedies, nothing helped!
Since that instance l have had not even ONE headche, until this day January 2023:
l KNOW, l had been cured by Our Lady, l thank you Mother for yr patience with me! God bless you all.
There is a power in Medjugorje, there is something there and it's good!

I’m Protestant so I don’t know all the correct vocabulary for Catholicism. I think America needs more pilgrimage sites or need more knowledge about them. I also wish we had the marches or walks with banners, crucifixes on big wooden poles, sometimes the Eucharist, Priests or other holy people, & lots of lay people. I think it would help people feel connected as a community & to God. For those of us with disabilities or health, we should add a procession of people can’t walk all the way to drive together at the end of the route & meet the walkers.
I know Catholics get so many attacks from some Protestants for doing things like that & are falsely accused of “trying to buy salvation”, but we need connection now more than most times in history. We need as many group activities as Christians as we can get, such as the marches, group rosaries & other prayers, Bible studies, potlucks, vacation Bible school for kids, groups for teens, etc.

The churches, basilicas, Coliseum, St. Paul's church, St. Mary's, St.John Lateran, went up the staircase Jesus ascended during his passion, & the artwork, beauty & wonder if St. Peter's. Saw the Appian way & catacombs too. Also got to see Pope Benedict XVI in an audience. Saw the Vatican museum & Sistine Chapel as well as other holy places

It very important to discern about these alleged apparition for yourself. One great way to do this is to visit Medjugorje and experience it first hand.
Oh but do be careful, one lady in our group fell and broke her ankle descending apparition hill. Providence was …there was a NYC fire chief and a doctor nearby who along with quick acting guide provided immediate first aid and had locals men carry her off the mountain and into an ambulance in just minutes.( get travel insurance)
Recovering nicely , she’s rebooked a trip in May 2023.

Since then he has been devoted to getting as many people there as possible. He spends countless hours finding deals and volunteering his time to lead multiple trips per year, without making a dime. I think he usually ends up eating costs actually. We're on the US west coast and he finds prices hundreds under everything I've seen. Anyway, trust in God, and keep praying for our mother's intercession.

We went in December of 87 with our four-year old and our three-month old. It gets cold there and there is no central heat, but they do have stoves. On the last stretch of the trip, as we rode in the bus around the mountain curves with the thousand foot drop off right out our window, all while some guy wiped the windshield off with a cloth because the defrost setting was NOT working and the windshield kept fogging up, I thought, I must be nuts taking my family on this trip to a communist country where we could go off a cliff and that would be it. I must be nuts, two babies and us! So, I prayed for protection to the BVM as I recall. When we got to the village it was too late for the vision or to do anything. The next day we went to the home of one of the visionaries and she said that the last evening during the vision the BVM gave a special blessing of protection to all who were there, and she said it could be shared with those who arrived the next day. THAT would be US! So, she heard my prayer on the bus and knew we would be late. We stayed with a family from the village, and we were there for maybe a week. We got the miracle of the sun at the top of cross mountain; it was late in the day and we had to head down soon after. It takes time to get up that thing and down too. The guide said not to worry we would "take it with us" referring to the miracle of the sun, it was cloudy all the rest of the time we were there. When we got home we found we still had the miracle of the sun. We have had it (the miracle of the sun) ever since, we still get the miracle here back in the US every time we look, late in the day, on a sunny day it seems to be there. So, when we pray and ask, it is there. Every time, all these years later. We have even prayed with others when we got back and although they never went, they too got the miracle. It seems to help if you touch them when you ask for them to get the miracle and they to should ask. In fact, I have heard of people getting it on their own who never went. Someone I knew who was dying got it on her own.
So, believe me, my story is true, but more importantly believe and live the Gospel and tell everyone you know it is real. Jesus is quite alive. We all need to repent, quickly. Don't delay. Don't worry about things of the world, pay attention to the Kingdom of God. Miracles are not just for those who get them, they are for those who hear about it, miracles are for everyone, just like the resurrection. He did not rise just for some, just as He did not die for some; He did it for all of humanity. Get with the agenda. Pray for people, pray for leaders, pray for everyone. Pray for people in very high places to repent, the people who go to communion when they should not. Pray for people told not to go but go anyway. You know who I mean. They are politicians in many places.

Medjugorje may be a great place for cheap cigarettes and beer, but not for the apparitions which the bishops of the place have refused to approve for 40-plus years, calling them "diabolical".
If good things are happening it's because people are congregating there, going for confession and attending Eucharistiic adorations, holy masses and retreats.

In June 1981, the Blessed Mother reportedly began appearing regularly to several children in the town of Medjugorje, which is located in the Diocese of Mostar-Duvno, then part of Yugoslavia. (The diocese is now part of the nation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.)
In 1985, Mostar-Duvno’s bishop Pavao Zanic determined that the apparitions were not authentic, i.e., not of supernatural origin.
In 1991, the bishops’ conference of Yugoslavia ruled that the supernatural character of the reported apparitions could not be affirmed. This is different than a definitive declaration that there is no supernatural character.
Bishop Zanic maintained his position until his retirement in July 1993, when Bishop Ratko Peric succeeded him. Throughout his tenure in Mostar, which lasted until July 2020, Bishop Peric consistently reaffirmed the decision of his predecessor.
Bishop Petar Palic is the current Bishop of Mostar-Duvno, and he has not overturned his predecessors’ decisions.
The Holy See, consistent with the rulings of the local bishops, has allowed pilgrimages to Medjugorje, provided they don’t present the reported apparitions as approved by the Church, and has forbidden the faithful from participating in events where the reported seers present their reported apparitions as of supernatural origin (see this for more information).
Those who have experienced conversions-or a deepening of faith-associated with pilgrimage(s) to Medjugorje should know that the validity of their experiences does not hinge upon whether the reported apparitions are declared of supernatural origin. @@monicamohan4720 sounds like you have never been to Medugorje Monica and yet you are a so-called expert. There are many documented miracles from Medugorje as well as millions of genuine conversions through Medugorje. I have been lucky enough to have lived and worked in Medugorje for a couple of years and can attest that it is a very special place. God's gift to aching humanity. I suggest you consider going to Medugorje with an open mind and, probably more importantly, with an open heart. Mother Mary may have something special for you there 🙂

"In a more recent statement from February 2017, Ratko Peric of the diocese of Mostar-Duvno, within which Medjugorje is located, reiterates his judgment that Medjugorje is false: "The position of this Chancery throughout all this time has been clear and resolute: this is not an authentic apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary."

Amen amen amen. Wake up people nothing supernatural is happening w Medju-mania.
Greatest hoax of the last century.
If there are healings and conversions its certainly NOT due to the Gospa but the graces coming from confessions,Masses and rosaries of the 'pilgrims'.
In all these years NO ONE CAN TELL ME what is the message of Medju.
I have seen the negative effects in family and parish. One relative still claims the trope that her rosary turned to gold. Silliness beyond measure.
I run from it and you should to.

Bishop Peric voices his own opinion but does not speak authorivately for the Church. The Church has been investigating these for some time and has not come out with a final decision. If there were heretical statements in the apparitions they would have been declared false already. The only thing the Church can do is wait to see if the future events transpire as the visionaries have foretold.

Indeed, the sacraments are valid at Medjugorje, and the Blessed Mother can-and does-fruitfully intercede for those who seek her sincerely, wherever that may be.
