Humans are so weird. To make unfounded accusations against someone just for being in a bathroom with you… and never realizing that you’re in the bathroom with them, too?
I can only imagine, at the restaurant, bathroom guy was waiting for him to leave and quit staring at him, stalking him and entering the bathroom for no reason…
He must’ve started feeling uneasy. Imagine, every time he peeked out to see if the coast was clear, this dude from the wedding and his girlfriend were staring at the door, waiting for him to come out, sitting at a table full of other men. I probably wouldn’t have wanted to leave the bathroom, either. I’d be afraid they were waiting out there to jump me or something.
Some people make the weirdest assumptions about others bathroom habits… plus, the guy telling the story is the one who hangs out in the bathroom for a break from people but, he can’t imagine anyone else would ever do that? Or leave a wedding early? Or live in the area this dude moved to? Lol Maybe he moved closer to Bathroom Guy so, he’s the one following him around, acting like a stalker.
Bathroom guy seems interesting and the guy telling the story seems boring, and a bit judgmental. If I met bathroom guy and he started a conversation that way, I’d be way too intrigued to just walk away without knowing why he said that.
If you’re reading this and you run into bathroom guy, again please continue the conversation you had at the wedding and update us. I’ll have to change my judgment on you, if you actually do it. I’m very interested to know what he means by having a special connection with the universe.

have you thought about doing something with tornadoes? There is a famous photo, the "dead man walking" tornado... they can take on all kinds of haunting shapes. And there is something about tornado country, with the big sky, and those megachurches, the way tornadoes will scrape one house down to the foundation but leave another untouched.
Or the case where a tornado took off the upper floor of a building and all the walls, but there was still a cake sitting unharmed on the kitchen counter.
Made me think of your... stuff. Just a thought.
