  • I have a lot of gravel so I purchased a Land Plane to help with maintaining. I give my two cents worth after the initial use. Also, the pole barn package was delivered.

    Look into the Pat’s Quick Hitch, I know you mentioned getting one, I put one on and its awesome, it’ll fit any attachment. I think it’s the best, but when your doing the research on them, check it out. I had others, and the Pat’s worked the best for me. I have the LX 3310 so it will work fine on yours good luck.

      I haven’t saw those but I ended up buying a LandPride Quick Hitch and I agree with you the quick hitches are a game changer. It matches up with all my attachments but after having it, it would be hard to go back. Appreciate the comment and the recommendation! I will still look them up

    A hydraulic top link and side link on your tractor will change your world

    Wonderful tool! Be cautious back-blading with it - I’ve bent the rear big angle iron that holds the rear cutting blade. OR, buy cutting blades for both sides of the angle irons. Best attachment I own.

      @@goodlucktrying21 I bent mine on a big rock that was just under the surface of the new landscaping we are doing.

      You won't do that with the Woods GSS60P

    So just to confirm (I've never used a land plane). Will it a do a nicer job than a box blade by being less agressive? Can we say that? Looking to buy one to do the same as you, i.e. a beautiful set of gravel roads!

    • @goodlucktrying21
      @goodlucktrying21  Před 7 měsíci

      It works really well for gravel driveways! With the skid plates along the right & left edges it will not allow you to get too deep and leaves material behind. It is much more user friendly than a box blade, if you have used a box blade you know if you are not careful you can take it down to the dirt and then you have to have a gentle hand to place them back. With the land plane you can pretty much let it down and drive, you will enjoy the attachment!

    You have some nice equipment just missing the skid steer. The drivers hauling could have spread the gravel for you and saved you some time.

    Why on earth did you not just use a back blade and use the round edge by backing up. That land plane with scarifiers is meant to dig up and fixed packed roads with pot holes. That job took you forever.

    I’m looking to get a land plane and can’t decide if I should get one wider than my rear tiers or not? What do you think?

    • @goodlucktrying21
      @goodlucktrying21  Před 2 lety

      I like the fact of covering the back tires, not by much but it is nice to be able to get rid of the tire track if you are finishing something. Only negative with the overhang in my opinion is you have to watch and not hang it on the fence post. Good luck with it, I think you will be pleased with the land plane!

    • @goodlucktrying21
      @goodlucktrying21  Před 2 lety +1

      One other thing to consider with the land plane is you will use it backwards to grade and if it is wider than your tires then your tractor will travel in the graded area. Having it wider will make it a more useful tool.
