    Hi there, and thanks a lot for the video, can i ask if you bought that radio online? I already buy 3 diferent rádios and had to return them, all the new radios are half the size..and on the sides there are no holes compatible whit the frame on the car for the bolts..any help? all of them work with the iso cable..but they just don t fit...i have 2001 vvti G6 1.6 and the radio doesnt work about 5years😐

      That musicplayer was bought in a normal electronics shop for many years ago.
      Maybe you have to ghetto/3D-Print/DIY something to make it fit your car?
      Its really strange if you dont find a bracket or radio that actually would work great with your car.

    I have been waiting for this video for a long time 😄 My radio stopped working like 10 yrs ago, so thank you very much!.
    I'm new to this, could you explain that ISO part? Is that a special connector? Does it connect both the speakers and the antenna?

      When you buy a new radio, you can buy an ISO connector at the car audio store/garage as well, it is car specific not every ISO connectors fits your car. The Antenna cable goes directly into the radio (if it does not fit you should buy a ISO > DIN antenna adapter) The Antenna cable has kinda nothing to do with the ISO connector it is another part which almost always exist from car factory. I wrote kinda, because the ISO connector has one, mostly blue, antenna cable. This cable gives the antenna power supply and arrange that it will only get power supply when you turn on the radio/car.

      I think it was the CD-player. It was a friends car :)

    Ser du sier du er norsk så spør på norsk: hvor fikk du tak i kabel overgangen og hva kalles de ?

    Hej og tak for videoen 😁
    Kan læse du bor i Norge, så prøver at skrive på dansk 😊
    Vil en 2 din radio passe der i, når “skuffen” under radioen fjernes? 🤷🏼‍♂️😁

    What radio unit did you use, did you use an iso converter cable, and does the driving computer and stock radio up top work at the same time as the new cd unit?

    • @deletewin32
      @deletewin32  Před 6 lety

      I installed a Pioneer MVH-280DAB. (It has to be a DAB-Radio and not FM here in Norway)
      Yes, I did use an ISO cable (Bought it custom fitted from Ebay).
      It both works, but you can`t overlap them.

      Thanks. This was the only video i could find of this mod on the facelift model. Gonna try this out on my car today.

      Michael Møller It was actually pretty easy on this model. I was looking for videoes myself, but I did`nt find one, so I made one for CZcams.

      Yeah it turned out so. I had to swap the head unit and the little drawer to make space, and it took a couple of tries making it fit just right. But now everything is sounding awesome, and it even fixed what i thought was two blown speakers - might have been dirty connecters, who knows.

      It does work but not the FM radio (clock, how much benzine you use, avg speed etc works)

    Hi, with this new stereo, do you change songs with the top panel, or with the new stereo? i'd like to use the top volum knob and buttons to change songs. Thank you :)

    • @deletewin32
      @deletewin32  Před 4 lety +1

      Einar I was using the new stereo, not the top controller. There are probably a solution for that, but I needed to do this the «fast way»
