I first saw him in "The Proposal" and loved it. OMG, he hasn't changed physically, he's amazing and he certainly deserves the award. I need to see more movies with him.

Beautiful speech, incredible Ryan.
I love that he directs the attention away from himself and onto others. Most of his kind works he never talks about but he will ask others to help people and organizations he cares about. It’s great that he’s using his platform and money to open spaces for people who’ve been pushed aside or out for so long. I also agree that telling stories that help us understand others and ourselves is one of the best things humans can do ❤
He is extremely charitable and generous. Last winter he donated $300 parkas, boots and all other winter clothing to hundreds of kids who live in a small, poor community in northern Canada.

I love his priorities. I have been sick with Lupus for years, 14 surgeries and it really makes you keep forefront what matters. Family, telling them how much you love them, don't hold onto any unforgiveness because the time and love you show people in your life are what truly matters. Keeping the ability to laugh. I may have dark humor because many might not think what I laugh at is funny because it's illness....but it can be if you don't let it defeat you . Ryan, you have made me laugh both you and Blake so many video I've watched of you. Laughter is still such great medicine. Thank you so much! God Bless you and your family!

It's good they gave him a full 5 minutes. The Oscars should have a screen with a 5 minute countdown on it that the speakers can see. They'd have no excuse for rambling on and on if they can see it's getting close to zero, at which time the piano music automatically starts, first quietly and then with ever increasing volume until the rambler voluntarily gives up and leaves.

I love him, I just wish he would have thanked the "people". being that it was the people's choice award, but no biggie.
If you think about it, he did thank the “people” by creating two organizations that allow people to join and work in the creative field that otherwise wouldn’t get the opportunities they deserve to be heard. His thank you is creating careers versus a 10 second thank you at a podium. I want to focus on his long term giving back. 😊
