- Most Koroks enjoy the simple life of puzzles and games, but there's one who isn't messing around - can we beat Breath of the Wild using only Korok Gear?? I hope you all enjoy the run!!

@Croton Hey croton, great video!! Could you do a travelers only run? Only traveler set, weapons, can only be able to buy stuff from other travelers, and have the quest being to unlock all shiekah towers, it would be hard, but fun!

I have two ideas for your next challenge run either the barbarian set and Lionel gir or the rubber set and lightning and electricity gear

Well in Age of Calamity Hestu is playable and his moveset allows you to summon bunch of Koroks. You can kind of recreate that scenario lol

Since the spears are so long, I imagine Koroks using them as like, battering rams (I know they're meant for Hylians, it's too cute to not mention).
Yeah, like imagine them trying to break down the doors to get inside Hyrule Castle to reach their friend Korok at the very top 😄

Impa: A dozen korok soldiers March from the lost woods to Hyrule castle claiming they will kill the king as they chant “yah ha ha ha, yah ha ha ha” everyone in hyrule had the ability to stop them and simply chose not too. When they arrived at the kings thrown he found them so adorable he let them dethrone him. That is the story of how the kingdom of hyrule fell to the koroks.
That is a cute story to imagine
Literally yesterday I discovered that right next to the entrance to the Korok Forest there’s a stone marker that lets you warp out of the forest if you climb into a tree’s mouth (up a ridge to the left as you face the entrance, with the master sword behind you, in case anyone is interested)
There’s also several koroks that tell you about it specifically.

I don't think I've commented on any of your videos before But with TotK right around the corner I just wanna express how much I adore these videos! I love "solo class" playthroughs/challenges in RPGs (Terraria especially) and seeing that sort of gameplay through BotW like this scratches an itch I didn't even know I had. Seeing how you seem to love making them too, I can't wait to see what Tears of the Kingdom will bring and the challenge runs that come with it!

@Croton I'd like to see you do an "Monster Loot weapons only" run. Basically, you can use the Soldier items before you get your first monster drop of that type, but afterwards, you MUST use only weapons, bows, and shields dropped by monsters or the Bokoblin and/or Guardian amiibo. Items looted from monster camps are allowed, as are the enemy-themed sets from the DLC, as well as the monster masks & Dark Link set sold by Kilton.

Never thought about a Korok set before, but it's so aesthetically pleasing! Who would have thought those sweet little things would make for such a challenge. Another wonderful video!!
Love these challenge runs! I think an elemental only run would be cool (only using ice weapons like the frost blades and ice arrows, or flame blades and fire arrows). For armor, maybe whatever gives you the most resistance to the element you’re using (like the rubber armor for the lightning run). Just a suggestion!
The Gerudo sets and Flamebreaker set both give different fire resist though...
@@KolbaltSayian Yeah. So either one would make sense for a fire elemental run, as far as I understood the original commenter’s suggestion
@Lexi Nicole that is what I meant, though I would probably say that flamebreaker would be better for a fire run, just because the gerudo set is already a mandatory item, and the flamebreaker set is yet to be used in a challenge run. Plus, correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the flamebreaker gives fire immunity, similar to how the rubber set gives shock immunity.
With totk now out, this run may actually have some fitting armour to use, although it could be harder getting elemental weapons.
I have been DREAMING of this run ever since I saw your challenge videos for the first time. I'm so happy to see this in reality!!

As someone who got all Koroks recently, there are some pretty unique ones. But with 900 of them, they get lost in the mix
I've considered doing this run, but due to how limited the korok weapons are in terms of respawning weapons, I decided against it. If it worked for you, though, maybe I should give it a shot
This was so INTENSE! Loved seeing all the Korok appreciation, they are my favorite species in the BoTW universe lol. And the final battle was so stressful! Also: seeing all the smart ways you circumvented being unable to use runes was super cool. Your passion and appreciation for the smaller details in the game is very apparent, and super charming! Love the content!!

I've been playing this game for years and never noticed the shield and spear near the Great Deku Tree. Never. This amount of little secrets make this game so amazing after all those years. Thanks for the video Croton, you both teach and entertaint with your channel
idk why but seeing Revali shoot the divine beam of his revenge on his own is both amazing, but also funny to me.

Could you do a lynel only run using barbarian armor? I feel like getting the weapons would be hard but afterward it would be a cakewalk

I have a run idea that's probably the hardest run in the game.
I call it: The True Hero. Link can only wear the Hero of the Wild set and only use the Master Sword and Hylian Shield. To make the run a bit more fair and full, Link my use Traveler Bows. Mandatory items are okay and no champion abilities.
(Also, use Amiibo to get Epona.)
But yeah, it's super hard and a long challenge, but I think it's possible as long as you pace yourself
The hardest run is the Goron run.
No shields or bows
How about an only shrine run? With only shrine gear allowed, you have to beat all tests of strength. You're not allowed to reenter shrines, e.g. after a blood moon, so entering every shrine only ones, No champion abilities, no collecting of stuff outside of the shrines, and obviously all devine Beasts
I was so surprised to see this one! I love that you are still coming up with new challenges for yourself. Always a treat. What about a travellers challenge? Hylian clothing and all the travellers equipment, swords, claymores, bows etc. Maybe all the pot lids and farm equipment would be eligible too as that is what you could get as a traveller.

@@catalyst539 I know, what I am saying, is that from the description of the weapon- "this shaft was made by using a old GORON mining drill tip.." it might techincly count.... but thats still moot, cause of the lack of bows... base game at least.... shields, or onehandeds, it would be basicly impossible, not to mention that no armor, and weapons are rare.
Zelda lore headcanon: The Koroks & the Minish have strong bonds. The Deku Scrubs, not soo much.

1:05:26 I believe you're supposed to use that log next to Korok, either lifting part of it up and over using cyronis or with a magnesis object under it. Then you can just walk on the log to the korok. I don't see why that log would be there otherwise, always figured that's the intended solution.

Here’s an idea for a run:
The monster run
-The gear will be the monster hoods and the barbarian set
-Only boko, lizal, moblin, and lynel weapons
-Visit every skull camp and kill every mob there
i got really high and watched this and it genuinely brought me so much joy and felt like a continuation of my childhood and of my childhood youtubers. i dontn know w hy but like this felt exactly like how i felt watching old lets plays, just pure nostalgia

I find the most interesting korok seed to be the one when you return to the shrine of resurrection
Honestly that's a pretty good one! I'm pretty sure that's the only one locked behind a certain event (I think it's either getting the paraglider or the tower, not sure tho)

These runs are so cool! Only one you see to have not done yet, for the races any way, would be the Gorons, I guess that would mean using the Fireproof armor and things like the Stone Smasher Weapon and the Drillshaft
Croton, you can hold a bow out without having to aim just by pressing zr once which helps with things like blue flame like what happened in the zora run. (You can also press b to stop aiming when you are aiming to just hold)
It makes me happy that people like you still play botw even though how close we are to tears of the kingdom
There's still so much to appreciate with it!! I'll focus on Tears when it actually comes out haha
It would be really cool if these longer videos had chapters (timestamps as to when ur taming the horse, etc)
